Digimon - The Movie [VHS]

I am so happy to own this piece of my childhood again! It's a Christmas present but I played it early and it works perfectly! Can't wait to introduce my siblings to this.

I absolutely love this purchase, it was one of the best decisions I've made on Amazon!! The video quality was just like I remembered and the poster that it came with was outstanding!

Digimon the Movie was soooooooo cool. Also it is actually 3 movies in 1 Movie. It starts out with the 1st segment when the Season 1 Digidestined are little kids. Although it only lasts about 15 minutes, they pack a bunch of action in it. And in the second segment, it is after all the Season 1 Digidestined Kids adventures in the Digiworld are over, or so they think. Izzi discovered a Digi-Egg when he was using his computer. Then he rushes over to Tai's house and then, Jinia, Augumon, Biyomon, Gabumon, Palmon, Tentomon, Patamon, Gomamon, and Gatomon contact Tai and Izzi to tell them that Augumon and Tentomon are going to go to the Internet to help Tai & Izzi destroy Diaboromon. And then Tai contacts Matt & T.K. and Matt & T.K.they send Gabumon & Patamon to the Internet too. Then when Gabumon & Augumon get together they Warp Digivolve into Metalgarurumon & Wargreymon. And then the amazing happens, Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon Digivolve into Omnimon and defeat Diaporamon. The third section is 4 years after the 2nd segment. Kari & T.K. go to New York to visit Mimi, but while they are sight seeing they see a boy named Willis and his Digimon Terriermon fighting his other Digimon Cocomon. And later Davis, Demiveemon, Yolie, Poromon, Cody, and Upamon are in America thanks to Yolie's family. and they meet Willis and get a Pizza guy to help them go to Colorado. But Davis, Veemon, Willis, & Terriermon get left behind. So Veemon armor Digivolves into Raidramon and gets them caught up with Yolie and Cody. And soon after that Kari, Angewomon, T.K., and Angemon meet up with them. And all the kids become babies again and Angemon & Angewomon Warp Digivolve to their Mega levels and then Golden Digi-Eggs are released and Veemon & Terriermon Golden Armor Digivolve and Destroy the virus in Cocomon and Cocomon and then everything goes back to normal.

At one point in my childhood (probably when I was 9 or 10 years old), I watched this movie at the movie theater in Contra Costa County, California. As a matter of fact, Digimon: The Movie was originally released as three separate movie when it was first released in Japan: Digimon Adventure (released 1999), Digimon Adventure: Our War Game! (released 2000), and Digimon Adventure 02: Digimon Hurricane Touchdown!!/Supreme Evolution!! The Golden Digimentals (released 2000).Having seen this movie in my late childhood, I remember the harrowing scene where Tai's partner Digimon Koromon digivolved to Agumon and went on a stampede through the Odaiba neighborhood of Tokyo, fighting Parrotmon, and Tai's sister Kari blew her whistle calling on Agumon to stop.The third part of Digimon: The Movie was interesting. There was a boy whose hair color was unlike that of any other DigiDestined, Willis and he had a partner creature with big lips, but I couldn't discern the identity of the boy and his partner Digimon in the first place. Later on did I find out that Willis was American, not Japanese, in terms of nationality, and that the Digimon with big lips was Wendigomon, the champion form of Lopmon (Wendigo is a demonic beast in the folklore of the Algonquin Indians of northeastern North America). Interestingly, Willis' partner Digimon, Terriermon, happens to be the partner Digimon of Henri in Digimon Tamers.

The movie was in mint condition, the original plastic and stickers keeping the case shut were still on. The small rips in the plastic case in the picture are me opening it to excitedly. It even has the mini poster that I remember from when I was a kid inside! Played the whole disk and no skips at all. Very happy with this purchase!

Great movie from the new millennium. Well written and funny.Product was in great condition. This can be hard to find, but it was fairly priced and in great shape. So glad I found this and bought it.

I bought this for my husband as he never got to watch it when he was a child. Let's just say that he was a very happy man child the day that it arrived and he thoroughly enjoyed watching the movie even with the terrible Angela anaconda opening. All in all a great purchase. Was sold as used good condition and I think that it was excellent it just had a few fingerprint smudges on the disk.

I'll admit, when it originally came to cinemas, I didn't go to see it because I was a Pokémon fan, but I grew into Digimon. I do love the film and the humour of it, but then again, I am a big child and still have the same interests I had when I was younger. I can't fault the film, although it would've been nice to have scenes cut out from the English dub as well as Japanese dubbing and subtitles. If you watch the Japanese AND the English, you'll realise they're very different films due to what's been cut out and what the Japanese actually say. I'd of liked to have had both just to see the comparison, but I can see why it wasn't included. The Japanese version is much darker (Tai and Kari's dad is an alcoholic that comes home drunk late at night?). Over all, I do love this film, and so does my friend, hence why I bought two copies!

So glad managed to get this brand new dvd. Not see it since I was a kid. Was just as good as I remembered. Fast delivery too

The movie itself is fantastic and the punchlines are hilarious! A real trip down nostalgia lane!The only problem I found was the 4:3 display (edited from the original 16:9... I really don't understand why they did that!

I was thoroughly impressed with how quickly my item arrived to me, the case was a little damaged but the film is a piece of my childhood so I'm just happy I have it on dvd not video. I've bought from this seller before and will continue to.
