Works with Rokus!
The remote for my Samsung 55" UHD 8 series tv circa 2015?? broke and I initially replaced it with one of the cheap knock offs, which worked decent and I had no complaints until I recently discovered that the remote for my other Samsung tv a 55" QLED actually controlled my Roku too!! It annoyed me that the Roku had its own separate remote. Once I discovered that the QLED's remote controlled the Roku and also worked with my older UHD tv, I decided to purchase this factory remote. It was delivered quickly and functions as expected. I saw one of the other reviews state that it doesn't have a microphone button, but mine does, so no issues. The instructions for pairing on the package were wrong, but if you follow the instructions listed on Amazon it paired with no problem. I gave it 4 stars only because it is still a little pricey for a remote.

Pricy but worked - had to pair it first
Slightly cheaper than a brand new one from Samsung's website but much faster shipping. My dog ate my first remote, and we wanted a replacement ASAP. The pairing process didn't work on its own - first I had to unplug and re-plug in my TV for some reason (I have the Q90R 82" Samsung). After that, the pairing process successfully completed (holding back arrow and play/pause simultaneously for about 5 seconds).

An expensive but fine replacement for the original
Judging by the market for refurbished or private label denotes, there are a lot of careless Sansung owners. The first question with a refurbished electronic device is does it work? Yes, it's perfect. What makes it refurbished? Well, it's not new. OK, so what was done to it? I don't know, maybe they made too many, or some fell off the truck. Is it worn? Do remotes for smart TVs wear out? Doubtful. Why does even a smart TV remote cost so much? What about a universal remote? Not for a smart TV. What didn't I like? About a week after it came, I found the old one.

FALSE ADVERTISEMENT
DO NOT ORDER THIS PRODUCT!! IT IS NOT WHAT THE DESCRIPTION SAYS!! Basically this remote is supposed to have the microphone function on it. It says it in the description and has it in all of the pictures. Well I just received it tonight and it definitely doesn’t have that function on it. And you can pay $8 for a knock off remote exactly like this. Or you can pay $20 for the real one. But the one with a microphone from Samsung is $45. So don’t be ripped off by this. DO NOT ORDER!!

Works but shouldn't have had to buy a second remote
Replaced the one that came with the TV we bought. Never worked from the get go. This one does work. To bad it cost me $50+ on toop of the cost with the tv
