Great solution for music while lap swimming!
I purchased these to replace a waterproof mp3 with the in-ear earbuds for lap swimming. I tried two of the most highly rated in-ear earbuds, but never was able to get them to work comfortably and consistently with water leaking into my ear and cutting off the sound. The Aftershoks are a much better solution for swimming. They stay in place (without swim cap) in turns and the sound is very good and consistent underwater and are very comfortable to wear.I use these primarily for swimming and since Bluetooth does not work underwater, having the built in MP3 player is the only real way to get music in the pool unless you want to swim with wired earbuds and your smart phone. The sound quality is good with or without the ear plugs. With the ear plugs I did not notice much of a difference between pool and normal mode. Without the ear plugs, the sound is much more bassy and would recommend pool mode. Whether or not to use ear plugs is mostly personal preference on sound and comfort. I am on the fence. One complaint was would be nice if the volume could get louder, but the volume is definitely adequate for lap swimming.Copying music over was straight forward, but formats are limited, so you may have to convert some music files (that are not format protected) to acceptable file types. Of course, you have to own the songs and can’t just download from one of the subscription music services. While the xtrainerz are the best music delivery device for swimming and would highly recommend them, I am sticking with the in-ear wireless ear buds and my smartphone for non-water activities as the sound quality is superior and I have more options for music.

Pay the extra price. Other brands cant compare!
These headphones are by far the best swimming head phones I have ever had. I have used numerous brands and swim 1-2 miles a day. They have amazing sound quality, are solidly built, charge quickly and easily, and battery lasts for around 2 hours. I especially like that it tells you the battery status every time you turn them on so there are no surprises. Adding songs is easy. Has swimming and general mode.I have used taygayo brand which do not last. They are cheaper but quality is very poor and they failed after just a few months and never worked correctly. Tried twice and were a waste of money. But the aftershocks headphones rock! When swimming they are the first pair I have ever had that sound perfect even in rough ocean water. Worth every penny.

Not only works, but, works pretty well
I have a hard time maintaining focus in swimming, after a few minutes my thoughts are out of the water, and my technique disappears, this also happens in other activities and always music helps me a lot in maintaining discipline, focus and rhythm. but I had never been able to combine music and water well, tried different products and most of the time had problems with fixation, ear pressure, inconsistency and poor sound (AM quality), or even difficulty receiving instructions from my coach, a few weeks ago I received my Xtrainerz from AfterShoks, and I'm pretty satisfied with its performance, due to the bone conduction system and its light and thin design, my ears are always open to hear instructions, not pressurized, or tight with something that is always coming out. the right position could not be better, but it was, the sound quality is always uniform and amazingly good, it's like a well-tuned FM, with a full-bodied sound, the system of changing tracks, folders and volume is quite simple and it works. very well, in my case the battery lasts for almost three hours (and wanting attention not to run out of power during my practice), and overall the product completely satisfies me. However, there is a single point that causes me discomfort, and this is a technological limitation (no product on the market has this capability below water), as it has no wireless capability, and requires that your songs be physically housed in the device's memory like an mp3 A player of the last century, these days of dynamic streaming and playlists bring extra work that I was happy to do in the past and today I'm lazy, but as I mentioned it hits every product on the market and is a technology limitation.
