Nice quality steel, unacceptably sharp
Let me begin by thanking the other prior reviewers who warned of the sharp edges on these bars. Thanks to them I was prepared with gloves when I opened the box, so I didn't get cut. Trust me - gloves are required! So here's my opinion of the pros and cons, and why on balance I gave them a 3-star rating. I hope it helps with your decision making.Pros:-Nice, heavy grade of stainless steel. Definitely stronger than the original bars. I wish Weber would offer something like this.-I measured the old bars before ordering. The fit of these new bars was perfect. Replacement literally took under a minute.-Great price, compared to the OEM Weber bars.Cons:-The manufacturing process left these bars dangerously sharp on the sides, bottom edges, and lower corners. Only the top bend is smooth. Remember, you have to handle these bars periodically to take them in and out for cleaning, so for the manufacturer to leave them as sharp as they did is, in my opinion, unacceptable. They even added a sticker on them that warns of the danger from the sharp edges, so they're very aware of the problem. If they're aware of the issue, why not do something about it?-To make the bars safe to handle now and in the future, I took a sander with 80 grit paper and rounded over the bottom corners, then sanded all the sharp edges. Only took a few minutes, and worked like a charm. However, this is something the manufacturer should have done, not me!-The box was ripped up when I got it. Poor packaging or poor handling at the post office, I don't know. The bars were not damaged. So it's a toss up. Nice quality materials that should last a lot longer than the originals and a good fit, but the manufacturing leaves a lot to be desired.

Better than porcelain... not sure about better than OEM stainless steel
I bought these to replace my rusted porcelain flavorizer bars. One thing is sure about stainless steel: You don't have to worry about rust. These bars feel solid. It is also true that these bars help stabilize the temperature in your grill. You can open the lid and turn your meat and quickly get back to your initial heat temperature after you close the lid. There are many positive comments about them so I am just going to mention what I did not see in those comments:The bars turn red incandescent and you have flames shouting up with every single drip of fat. I just turn the burners down a little when that happens.Better than OEM? That might not be true. A friend of mine has a Genesis with everything stainless steel and I can tell you I wish I had saved a little more to but that. No flames, no rust, no red incandescent bars, no significant loss of temperature...People mention the thickness as a measure of quality. Rather than thickness, I think quality is in the type of alloy used. Probably why Weber's flavorizers can be thinner and better than aftermarket parts.Because of the price and because it is an improvement over my old porcelain bars, 4 stars.

thicker than most and no sharp edges! Quality replacements!
These are thicker than my last set I replaced on my weber 300 - the model with the controls in the front (2013?). they fit perfect! they came with protective plastic stuck on them, no sharp edges so maybe they see the reviews and improve their product. my old ones cost about $22 but rusted and the coating was falling off after about two and a half years. Only time will tell how long they last but they seem like they were thicker and should last longer. I paid like $12 more than the last so I think you are gonna get what you pay for! was fast shipping even though they are not prime... Quality parts!

Fit (2014) Spirit E-310 Weber Grill
First impressions. Bought to replace Weber porcelain bars that lasted almost 3 years for my Spirit ES-310. Hoping this grade of stainless (possibly a 410 grade because they are magnetic) will last twice that long. These measured 15.25" and fit perfectly. The profile is slightly different, they come to a point (single bend) where as the Weber ones have a small flat area (double bend) on top, not sure if that effects the heat radiation or not. I grilled a steak and they worked fine for me. They are thicker materiel therefore heavier. They come wrapped in plastic with warnings about sharp edges and they are, so be careful when unwrapping. I took a file and emery cloth and smoothed out the edges to be on the safe side when next I remove them for cleaning.

Twice the Quality at Half the Price!!!
These flavorizer bars were purchased as replacements for the factory porcelain enameled bars on my Weber Spirit 300. The factory bars had rusted through in only a couple years. These are WAY more durable and I can tell the heavier 16 gauge steel will last forever. I was able to upgrade to stainless steel for half the price of Weber’s stainless bars, while getting a heavier steel. They worked great on initial use cooking steaks on high heat to get a good sear. I would recommend you coat them in a little spray oil and get your grill fairly hot to get them seasoned and smoking a little while before cooking. These flavorizer bars were the ultimate upgrade to my grill, and the excellent price made them that much better! It only makes sense to purchase an aftermarket product like this from RiversEdge since they specialize in stainless steel products.

Bottom line is they work great, The heavier gauge metal does a great job ...
Bottom line is they work great, The heavier gauge metal does a great job heating up and staying hot, Why not 5 stars you may ask? Because only two out of five bars actually fit in the spaces on my Spirit 300. The other three are too wide. They still work, but I have to keep checking that they are still in the correct place. Unfortunately one of their greatest assets, their thickness, is preventing me from safely making a small adjustment to make them fit. C'est la vie.

Perfect. Edges No Longer Sharp
These fit right in for the rusted away ones and appear to be high quality stainless. While I will not know for certain for years, I think these are better than the standard ones from Weber. Just be sure to measure yours for fit. Measure the length from the bottom to the bottom, at the longest point.I purchased my Weber Spirit 3 burner in 2014.The only difference with the original is that the end shape does not slope inwards like the original ones. I have cooked several items from burgers to steaks and that does not seem to affect cooking at all.
