Excellent tool for cutting cheese!

Cuts cheese very easily. Easy to clean. Easy to use. Doesn't take up alot of space.

I liked the length (5"). We didn't use it that often--less than once a week. However, it broke (wire detached from handle) when I was using it on Meunster cheese today (which is a relatively soft cheese).UPDATE: When I came here to review, I saw that it comes with two additional wires! Sure enough, the tiny ziplock bag w wires and extra tiny bolts was in my kitchenware drawer. Problem fixed and I increased my rating from 3-->5 stars.

I cut a lot of cheese for My smoking operation. Still use the coping saw w/steel guitar string for the big stuff. This is prefect for whittling it down.

I really like the “side handle” design of this slicer. Also, there is enough tension in the wire to limit flex while cutting. Not as stiff as a cheese knife but stiff enough to cut all but the last tiny bit of sharp cheddar.

This is the perfect cheese cutter to replace a very old one that finally couldn't cut it anymore.
