This measuring cup is great! I made my Thanksgiving gravy with this and it worked perfectly. It separated the fat better than I was expecting and I would gladly spend the $ again if this one breaks.

Really works, however .....The grease coats the pour spout and requires a small bristle bottle cleaner brush. It is already getting micro lines in the plastic. And just the fact its plastic! But it does a good job of keeping the fat out of my broth.

Idk how I made it to 43 without figuring this one out, but here we are. Thank you, cooking shows. I love this gadget! Way better than trying to ladle out the fat from the top. Time saver. Made for perfect dripping gravy from our turkey. Loaded up the base of the roasting pan with veggies, bouillon, fresh herbs, lemon rinds and water, and cooked the turkey on a rack nestled into the pan (breast side down). The bird steamed itself tender. But then the gravy!! I loaded up all the drippings and what was left of the veggies, squished them down in the upper part (sort of a juicing if you will), let it rest for 10 mins to separate while I toasted up some butter and flour, and then poured the drippings into the pan, stopping short when I got to the oil. The gravy didn’t need any other seasoning. It was perfect as it was and delicious! Bonus, the dogs got a special fat treat on their food for the next few evenings. I opted for this model over the spout on bottom version, because I trust gravity and time will always wreak their havoc. I was worried the seal on bottom variety would fail eventually and it would be a pain to clean. With this model I was worried I’d get too much grease still in the pour, but it was clear when to stop pouring, and it was a breeze to clean. Bonus, I have an extra measuring cup between dripping uses. (I bought the 4 cup version.) This brand sealed the deal for me, as I have other devices from them and they are all built well and to last the test of time. This purchase will not disappoint!

This is the largest I could find, it's 4 cups (it actually holds over 5). I use it when making stock, so I'm making 4-5 gallons. It's light and seems to work really well for its size (for most things, like gravy I'm sure it'd be great but this is the main purpose I got it for)

I am a big fan of the OXO brand as it is a great quality and always sturdy. This particular one is great for separating juices and I can’t wait to use it on thanksgiving!

Cleans awesomely well in the dishwasher. Comes out like brand new. Functionally and ergonomics very suitable. This is a must have for kitchen and cooking to pour the stock/broth and leaving the heavy fat behind.

Exactly what I was looking for. I almost bought the 2 cup one but changed my mind and bought this 4 cup one which is a much better size. I do wish it was made of glass instead of plastic but it is what it is and it works to separate the fat from the gravy. The red stopper is handy as it keeps the gravy from overflowing out of the spout as you fill up the measuring cup . The strainer lid on top is a good idea if you like your gravy free of bits and pieces of meat, onions, etc. The spout is the hardest part to clean, but I bought a set of WALFOS Straw Cleaner - Strong Coarse Tube Bristles Cleaning Brush - Set of 9 Pieces ( also available on Amazon ) and they work great for cleaning the spout. This is a great product by OXO, worth the money. I would buy this again and recomend it.
