Chicken Little

This story itself is one of my all time favorite books. I'm only marking it down 1 star because I purchased it use but it was listed as "as new" condition and one of the pages was folded over.Still a great book though. Purchased by request for my grandson who is only 3 but can already read. He read my copy and wanted one for himself for his birthday! Found a hardbound library version for him.

The pictures are gorgeous! So vibrant!

There are few more markings than I expected for a book listed in this condition - lots of "library" markings.

The art pops from the pages of this book. I did an after school enrichment class doing shadow puppet theatre, and I modeled the puppets along the lines of this book and we used the story to add sound effects and music to for our puppet show. Great!

I was surprised at the end where all the animals walked into the fox's mouth. The one I had read from the library, they walked into his den. Lots of questions followed the ending of this book from a 3 yr old. I had it sent to my grandson directly and I am sorry I didn't get to read it beforehand.

We checked this out from the library and upon reading it my daughter was thrilled with it. It's very comical and if you are a talented reader you can make it so enjoyable for young ones. When reading,I do different voices for each character which makes my daughter laugh hysterically throughout the book. It's now added to our growing library and it's definitely read often.

Fun,silly book with great illustrations.

I’m am throwing this book away. It’s terrible. I used to love the original when I was young. This is quite the deviation. But what bothers me sooooo much is how judgmental this book is. It judges all the characters as stupid and foolish. It borders in sarcastic in places. Nope. I don’t need attitude like this in a book for a toddler.

The pictures are nice, the way they have adapted the story is very, very odd and poorly executed. My 2 year old loves books but not this one. The ending is just bizarre and the message of the story is lost!

どのページも本当に可愛いです。最後の落ちはしかけページになっていて、めくって迫力があります。他の絵本と落ちが少し違っていて、オオカミに食べられてしまうダークな内容がいったん食べられるもののくしゃみで全員飛び出てくるので子どもにも受けがよいし、こちらも安心して読み聞かせられます。絵や内容で探しておられるなら、同じChicken Little でもこれをお勧めします。
