Couldn't believe this is being sold on Amazon! I bought this down in Charleston, South Carolina and kept the bag for literally 9 years because it was so good I wanted to find it again. The directions are easy and it is super flavorful. Only thing you'll want to add is 2 cans of chunky crab meat (or fresh if you can!) And it is absolutely the best I've ever had. I've been pretty picky about my bisques and crab soups ever since I had this...nothing will ever measure up after this.Also, seriously love the "southern" way they wrote the directions. I know it's silly but it puts a smile on my face every time.

My soup arrived today and I couldn’t hardly wait to try it. There was a decent amount of soup (enough for 4 servings as advertised) which I though was pretty decent for the price. For some reason it smelled a little burnt while cooking even though it was turned down low (not even boiling). Now for the taste... I found it to be very blah. I wasn’t sure of the sodium content, so I didn’t add any but it sure could have used some. I read other reviews that stated a bit of sherry would help; I eat she ran soup often and have never had to add sherry to enjoy the flavor. This soup was ok- I will not be purchasing again.

Sooo easy! Half & half + add baggy. Stir. At first I was concerned was not going to thicken. But did in 5 minutes. Taste is great! I have been searching for a flavorful crab soup. This is it! I will caution it gets thick and rich - I will cut to part half & half and milk next time. And there will be a next time!

Reading the ingredient list on this homespun gullah goochee product can be startling: Sodium Caseinate, Dipotassium phosphate, mono and diglycerides. But there is something good inside not found in all the shrimp & grits recipes I've seen online. It's something from the dairy, and something sweet. The result is an astounding sauce. There's nothing special about the grits on even your shrimp. And that's how they are able to get $16.99 for a little bag of not much. If they bought the price down to $8, which it's worth, I'd buy a case.

My first package of Gulla Gourmet Shrimp and Grits was a gift. I didn’t know what to expect and didn’t make it right away. When I did finally buy shrimp and cook it we were so pleasantly surprised at how delicious it is. After searching the internet I was so pleased to find it for sale on Amazon and ordered 2 packages right away. My husband and I really like it. By the time you buy the shrimp and pay for the grits and herb mix, the meal is on the expensive side, but the very tastiness, ease of preparation and generous portions make it worth it to us.

A waste of time...not exactly sure what the gravy is supposed to be. Take time and learn how to make authentic Tasso gravy.

I first bought this brand of She Crab soup in the covered Market in Charleston while on vacation. This is great prepared as directed. We crab, so we used fresh, not canned crab. But you can also add potatoes, bacon and substitute Clams for crab and have a fantastic Clam Chowder. There will always be at least one of these in my cupboard.

One of my favorite things is She Crab soup and this package of stuff wasn't even he crab soup. Perhaps it should have been titled He Crap soup. Let me tell you that she crab soup is so called because it is made from female crabs. Why is this important? Because you need to use the roe, which is orange in color and gives the soup an orange-like color. This Crap Soup was colorless. Kind of makes my point, no? Further, it is called She Crab soup because it contains crab meat. The package said we had to buy a can of crab meat in order to make this real CRAB soup. Further, a quality She Crab Sour has a touch of sherry in it - which also contributes to the orange/red color. This crap soup didn't have any sherry at all. It was TERRIBLE AND A RIP OFF.
