The Surprise Date Challenge: Be the Happiest Couple You Know Paperback – March 1, 2019

This playful book gives great suggestions for sharing quality time with your loved one by way of a date, each and every month! Having this fun resource makes date planning easy and fun! I love that in addition to reminding us of WHY date night is important, the book offers a different date idea for each month and even includes suggestions on "twists" or "additional options" to customize the date, making it easy for people to utilize the ideas within any budget and - you can be as daring or conservative with them as you like. Many times it's just coming up with a new idea that seems daunting for us busy professionals and this book solves that challenge! I also loved reading the personal stories from a variety of couples! It's an easy read & great resource!

Not only is the Kindle Version of this book HORRIBLE!! (So many misformatted images and words that you can't read some of the paragraphs and SEVERAL blank pages) but it's also pretty lame and disappointing. Basically the whole premise of this book is written in the title. You simply surprise your partner with a date every month. Dont tell them what it is or where you're going. Just surprise them once a month. I guess the excitement comes from the mystery and anticipation of your partner not knowing where they are going or what they are doing. Then they give you 12 date ideas (one for each month of the year) but the ideas in themselves aren't anything super special or unheard of. Like I said, the "excitement" comes from the anticipation of what the date is rather than the date itself. They mentioned something about needing three months to plan a date or fulfill this challenge or something along those lines but the Kindle Version never explained this further. That was really confusing. I feel like the Kindle version is missing some crucial information about this challenge book and maybe thats why there were so many blank pages. Overall, based on at least the kindle version, this is definitely a waste of money and disappointment of a book.

I am expecting more of this book then when I actually got. The description and given how to arrange for a date and surprise someone, there’s no different than any thoughtful person we behave when it comes to setting up a date. But if you’ve never had any idea how to do it, this book is for you.

I would highly suggest this book to all couples; it'll help keep things exciting in their relationships! I am a couple's coach, and the most significant challenge that I have observed is the lack of spark which dimmed in their connection. It is not because they stopped loving each other, but instead, the relationship became complacent. I absolutely enjoyed this book because it gives you fun and creative ideas that keep the fire burning without breaking the bank! It is wonderfully written and beautifully illustrated. I also follow them on their Facebook page called Fun Fantasy Ritual, where they come up with some delightful couples’ events. Well done Dana and Marty!!!

Ideas for monthly couples dates. Only 1 or 2 new ideas to me. I've done a "Date a month" gift book for my spouse using Pinterest and the internet before. Would be nice to alternate monthly surprise date ideas with my husband, as the book suggests. I like surprises too!

I purchased this book based on a recommendation from a friend...we’re still friends, but I’m no longer taking book recommendations from her. The suggestions are very basic, I could come up with a more thorough list from a Google search. Do not buy this book if your relationship needs work, it might cause it to end after your partner loses all respect for you based on your terrible taste in books.

As a newly engaged couple things are amazing in our relationship but I know it’s easy to fall into a rut and take each other for granted. The best time to work on your relationship is when things are great! This book was recommended to us and it did not disappoint. It’s a great reminder to never stop dating your love, whether you’ve been together a few months or many years. Creating novelty in relationship ensures the spark never fades and surprise never goes out of style.

This isn't a book about how you got here...it's a book about how you get out. It's a quick read, offering ideas and jumping off points to add more creativity in your relationship. I loved the ideas! Easy enough for even the busiest person to pull off in the middle of a hectic week! I bought my boyfriend a copy too, secretly (or not so secretly) hoping he'll contact these two to help him plan our next EPIC date!

The ideas in the book were nothing out of the ordinary or something I hadn’t already come up with on my own or from a plethora of webpages which cost nothing to research.Might be suitable as a novelty gift in a couples package to show willing in the relationship.
