Under the Sea

We have had this sing along video for kids for many years - much watched by our nieces, nephews and grandkids and it is one of their favorites. Recently purchased this copy as a birthday gift for granddaughter - she loves the song "Never smile at a crocodile!"

I really needed the DVD for this one but couldn't find it. Not sure I will be able to use this. : (

I watched these movies when I was little and I'm so glad I found it so my daughter can enjoy it like I did when I was little.

This is not the best of the Disney Sing-Alongs. "Under The Sea" is on it twice and it's further padded with song clips from the 40's like "By The Beautiful Sea" and "The Sailor's Hornpipe" which are faded and too old fashioned to engage the imagination of a present-day child (although they're kind of interesting to adults).

I got this movie remembering all of my 2-3 year old memories! When I opened it and watched it, I almost cried :) It's so musical and every song is classic!

リトルマーメイドは見た事がなかったのですが、under the sea目当てで２才の娘に買いました。ねらい通り、under...は楽しい音楽とともに海の生き物がたくさん出てくるので、プリンセス大好きにもかかわらずアリエルそっちのけで、とても喜んで見ています。この曲だけの為に購入したのですが、意外と、全部の曲それぞれ楽しいところを見つけて、気に入ったようです。テーマが海なので船や魚が好きな子は喜ぶのではないでしょうか。歌も英語が入ってきやすい気がします。娘はところどころひろって覚えましたよ。

ほかの方の評価が割と低めだったので長い間買おうかどうしようか迷っていましたが、こどもが魚に興味を持ち始めたので思い切って購入したところ、１日で８回見るほどの気に入りようで大満足です。ディズニーのキャラが特に好きなお子さんなどは、魚ばっかり、、、って思ってしまうのかもしれませんね。（うちもキャラクターも好きなのですけどね、、、、。）

同シリーズのビーチパーティやキャンプのように、ノリノリ！とはいきませんが、この値段でこの内容なら充分満足できます。もうすぐ２歳の娘は「アンダーザシー」が好きなので喜んで見ますが、後半は少し飽きてしまうようです。全体的にちょっと古臭いですが、ムードがあってステキだと思います。

パッケージは「リトル・マーメイド」ですが、内容はディズニーの他のお話もたくさん出てきます。「リトル・マーメイド」からは「アンダー・ザ・シー」「キス・ザ・ガール」です。その他は「ピーター・パン」「王様の剣」「海底２万マイル」「ビアンカの冒険」などが収録されています。海外版（輸入物）なので音声はすべて英語です。画質は日本のものに比べるとチョット質が落ちるとおもいます。

リトルマーメイドのパッケージや、アンダー・ザ・シーの明るい、楽しいイメージを持っていると正直裏切られます。収録されている歌の内容が全体的に暗く、他のシング・アロングシリーズと比較し、見ていて楽しさに欠けます。
