Really pleased with this product. Didnt think I could get so enthusiastic about a rubbish bin! Arrived when it should and so far working really well. Much easier to use than a normal bin. Touch free opening and closing .

The product feels very cheaply made (the entire lid is plastic that feels like it could snap) and the sensor isn't well designed (you only have 3 seconds to scrap off peelings/food waste etc otherwise the lid will slam shut). I thought this was a good price for an electric bin until I saw that branded bins (such as Morphy Richards) are usually available for less. I have used branded bins at relatives houses that will only close once you have moved away from the bin which is a much better design. These types of bins are also fully made of stainless steel etc so feel like a much higher quality product.The body of the bin comes in two parts- the outer bin which is coloured silver which is what you see in the picture, and a removable inner bin coloured black. The inner bin has a handle screwed on to its inside meaning that when you pull an overly full bin liner out of the bin, it can sometimes catch and rip open. Again you do not get such a simple design flaw in the branded bins of this world.All in all, I wouldn't buy this bin. Instead I would wait for a deal on a branded bin which is made of better materials, has a more intuitive sensor, doesn't rip the bin liner every time you overfill and also costs less money.
