Could be sturdier and wider but works.
As I said could be sturdier and wider but works, better than a screwdriver.

2015 Ford F-150 parking brake cable removal
It is a tool that made it very easy to disconnect the cable from the backing plate on my 2015 Ford F-150. It is simple yet sturdy. It would never break. The only fear I have is losing it in all my tools.

Better than a screwdriver
Most handy men say you can use a screwdriver to adjust your brakes so this cheep brake tool worked great as the angle of the tool gives you more leverage

it works as intended
the tool was helpful but if someone needed to the find away around it. deffinately more leverage on handle to make more effective.

A bit too thin but worth the price paid.
If you think you’re getting the old 1950s styled beefy brake adjuster, you’re not. This is a very thin tool which will work to adjust the star nuts on well lubricated brakes. But if you are trying to budge a rusty star nut on an older vehicle or a boat trailer that gets dipped in salt water too often, this thin brake adjuster is a bit of a disappointment. The thin metal allows a lot of flex. For the price, it’s worth the purchase.

Well made tool but didn't work for my application.
I bought to use on Dexter 6k pound trailer drum brake assembly with the parking brake cable option. This tool didn't work for that application due to the parking brake attachment bracket on the assembly having a flanged rim, which makes it impossible to slide the tool in to compress the latching clips. I ended up using screw drivers and picks to compress them and detach the cable mount.

Handles aren't long enough to get proper leverage
This isn't a very useful tool. The handles are too short, so unless you're removing a cable from a brand new vehicle with zero rust and corrosion, they won't work and you'll have to borrow one of those insanely expensive Snap On cable pliers.

that its not fit for purpose
it does not work ! i bought this believing it to be the correct tool to release the spring-steel joiner between the cable from the brake shoe and the cable from the handbrake lever. This tool does not achieve that.

Handle is too small and light duty, and jar can not fit on the union easily.
CAN NOT BE RETURNED?This is a PC of junk if the connect is rust over years, leverage is tooo short. If you have rust connectors, walk away, cut it or get a SNAP ON to do the job.NOT strong enough to take off the connector on my F150 2007, that is rust.Finaly had to cut the connector out using grinding tool, new cable then can be put in again.40 dollars, really a waste of money. Be aware before buying!

Not useful
I was hoping this product would help make a repair job easier. No matter what we tried, it did not make anything easier. We never got the cable off. 2015 Silverado 1500. Would not recommend for a truck.

Useless
As with all car parts hanging under the car, they get corroded and seized. Trying to use these super soft pliers is useless .
