Work great with single or 3-way switches
I love these relays. I was able to set my exterior lights to turn on/off based on sunrise/sunset. I went with these over an astronomic timer switch because I kept the clean look of my normal light switch.I also love the way it integrated with my 3-way switches. I am able to still turn it on/off from either switch, from the app, and automate on/off times.I used the timer feature on the bathroom fan so the fan will stay on 10min after someone wrecks the bathroom. Awesome

cloud-free!
Local management without the cloud is easily accomplished through Home Assistant. Also, the stock firmware provides a lot of useful stand-alone functionality. These are so much better than the every day smart plug locked to an app.

great whole home automation solutions
The Shelly products are all really good, the only negative is that the modules can be difficult to pair

Dangerous for 12Ga wiring. These are not rated for 12 gauge 20A circuits
These Shelly device terminals are not safe for use on 20A circuits which are standard for home built in US in last 15-20 years. Reducing from 12 to 14 is a fire hazard according to my building inspector. I have my doubts on this as my lights are all LED and if they weren’t their are only 4 and would over load 14Ga wiring still it isn’t allowed to lower gauge until the plug. Most appliance only have 14/16 Ga cord.
