Old school oil can!!!
I used to have one of these in the shop for years, and it disappeared. I finally decided to replace it, and I am glad I found this one. Made in USA. Very well made, I might add. Just about as good quality as the old one I had for years, if not a bit better finish. Works very well, can dispense a small amount of oil with precision, or shoot it about 12 feet (yeah, I'm that guy lol!).Highly recommended, especially if you want an "old school" USA made product!

Good old oil can
Works fine. Filled with Sea Foam penetrating oil. I need another this good for cutting oil. Only problem, the pump piston was jammed on arrival and required some force and penetrating oil to free it. Works fine now. Check ball holds good pump is always ready to squirt

Works as an oiler. Small QA things.
It seems like a solid oiler. The sticker was coming off when I received it. It will probably fall off at some point in the future. The cork gasket in the lid was partially caught in the threads and would likely have leaked if I had not shifted it flat. These are small QA things, but I tend to expect more from a made in USA company. It oils my drill bits well and doesn’t leak.

Bought several Goldenrod oil pumps. They all work well.
This is one of several Goldenrod oil pumps I bought. And they all work well. I have had a couple other "imports" that I tossed after getting the Goldenrods. I don't put anything caustic in them and so far they are doing just fine. I use them for cutting fluids, bearing oils, tractor hyd fluid to clean actuators with, and heavy oil for assembly of parts. All work well.

This oiler arrived today
When I got it, I filled it with some Oatey Dark Cutting Oil. Squeezed the trigger a few times, and it started pumping the oil. Smooth. This is gonna be nice, because i used to just pour the cutting oil onto the drill bit in my press and wasn't always accurate.

Total garbage, so much for American quality
What a huge disappointment. I bought this can to service the ball oilers on my lathes. I spent a little extra on the "American Made" version, thinking it would get me better quality. Boy, was I in for a surprise. I will say that the body is nicely finished and seems to be fairly well made. The pump mechanism appears to be decent quality as well. That's where the positives end, unfortunately. I filled it with oil and tried to service my lathe. The tip was too large to fit. So I tried a different one. Same thing. The tip is the wrong type to fit the ball oilers on any of my 3 lathes. Ok, no problem, the common approach to this is to use said lathe to turn down the tip to the correct profile. That's when I discovered that the tip is not made of brass as it should be, or even steel, but flimsy aluminum! Not even good, hard, aluminum. More like recycled beer cans. My smallest lathe chuck nearly crushed it with the minimum required holding pressure. I finally got it profiled to fit, and tried again. Guess what...the handle bent on the 3rd pump. Now I get maybe a half stroke, if that. I'm afraid to bend it back, for fear that it will break off entirely.Bottom line: this thing is poorly designed junk. Save a few bucks and get a cheap import version, which will suck in probably the same ways, but at least will be inexpensive, rather than just cheap. Alternatively, spend a bit more and get one with a real brass tip of the proper size. Speaking of which, it never says what tip size this thing has. The tip thread is 1/4-28 in case anyone else mangles theirs up and needs to make a replacement.I'd return it in a heartbeat, but since I've modified it, I'm sure that's no longer an option.

I would absolutely recommend these!
I've only owned these for a few months, but the GoldenRod 625 is awesome! It doesn't leak, doesn't easily tip over, isn't messy to use and worked so well I bought several more for different oils. I've got one I keep filled with WD-40, another for thread cutting oil and a few others with different oils.
