Perfect Fit
When I ordered this I was concerned because Weaver makes a short action and long action version of the base, and they use #8 - 40 or #6 - 48 screws. My daughers Axiss II rifle is chambered in 6.5 CM and the fit was perfect. and the right screws were included.

I read several reviews before buying, all complaining about the screws that came with it.Happy to report that not only did this fit perfectly but the screws were correct..Can't wait to mount my scope

Looks fantastic. Did not have the correct screws for my Savage Axis II
Looks great. I have these on my Ruger Americans and love them.Unfortunately, this came with 6-48 screws instead of 8-40 and won't mount to my Axis II. They didn’t list a part number in the details when I ordered.If you need one with the 8-40 screws the part number is 99611.

Bait and switch… but still good.
The product page picture clearly shows the divot/cut out so the casing can have less obstructions when pulling the bolt. But it’s just a uniform bar. Impressive, but I feel tricked.

Worth the extra money, for sure!
I fought for a while trying to find a suitable scope mount for my savage axis. After trying about three of the cheaper options on Amazon and having them fit poorly or interfering with the bolt action, I finally decided to buy this directly from Weaver and it fit perfectly with absolute machine precision around the casing ejector and bolt action. It even has enough room to adequately fit my massive Bushnell Dusk & Dawn 6-18x50mm scope.

Wrong screws…not impressed
The base itself looks pretty good but the screws arent the right size..original base screws wont work with this..so if you have a newer axis…dont buy this!…i had to order a different one from somewhere else.. not impressed!

All savage rifles built from 2021 on have 8-40 screws. This comes with 6-32 screws.
