Did exactly what I needed it for. Hooked it up to my laptop and from my laptop to my BMW with no issues at all. Thick high quality cable and great quality connectors. This is the only brand I would buy no doubt. Also has good length so you can work comfortably. I sat in the passenger side of my car while the connector was hooked up on the driver side. Extremely easy to use and it’s all plug and play.

Great Product
I took the cheap route before buying this product and received a cheap cable and odb 2 prongs housed by a cheap 3d printed that worked 50% of the time. Don't take any chances when buying this product. The housing has a good amount of screws that holds in the prongs and chip for consistency. Overall excellent buy.

Works great with my 328 diesel!
Cable has a high quality feel. Even if that's just due to the insulation. I have it attached to the Anker ethernet to usb-c adapter. It works perfectly well with my 328 diesel!

Solid, Reliable OBD2 Cable for BMW Coding — Tight Fit, But That’s the Point
I used this OBD2 cable to code my BMW i4 M50 using BimmerCode, and overall, it delivered exactly what I needed: a fast, stable connection I could trust. When you're dealing with ECU-level access, confidence in your hardware is non-negotiable—and this cable gave me that peace of mind. The connection was immediate and rock-solid. I experienced no dropouts or lag during multiple coding sessions, and at no point did I feel like I was risking a bricked ECU. That alone makes this a worthwhile tool for any BMW owner diving into customizations or diagnostics. Build quality is better than expected for the price. The plastic housing feels sturdy and well-molded, with no creaks or loose seams. It doesn’t feel like a throwaway cable—it feels like something I’ll keep in my toolkit for years. One thing to note: the connector is tight. It took some effort to seat it fully into the OBD2 port, and even more to remove it. While this might be frustrating for some, I actually see it as a plus. That snug fit ensures a secure connection, which is critical when you’re flashing modules. Still, if you’re swapping cables frequently or working in tight spaces, be prepared for a bit of a wrestle. In short: this cable worked like a charm for my BMW coding needs. It’s not flashy, but it’s dependable—and in this space, that’s what matters most.

Pretty much becomes required equipment when you own a BMW
If you don't want to get completely fleeced, any BMW owner needs a cable to connect a laptop and a proper BMW code reader. The money spent will be far cheaper than any visit to the dealer. About 90% of 'issues' can be corrected yourself with a little research. The car demands brake maintenance with 50% of the pads left, oil change 'warnings' with 2000 miles to go, a plethora of error codes if you simply let the battery run down(can't believe a BMW will actually LET itself do it, no Ford would). Etc etc. Good quality, inexpensive, everything I've used it for worked no issues. Otherwise the car would have had me take it to the dealer 10 times for what are just nuisance codes for phantom issues. Get ahead of your car.

Using this with iPhone 14, Bimmerlink app, and ethernet-to-lightning adapter. Had a bit of difficulty connecting at first but after turning off Wi-fi and Bluetooth on the iPhone, it worked instantly! Highly recommend. Updated: since the great success the first time we used this, the cable has not worked again. We keep getting connection failed. So disappointed!

Got it for my 2020 m340i, works perfect. Had an issue with the cable initially, but the company replied to me within a day and sent me another one (same day delivery), talk about customer service. Highly recommend!

It works as advertised. for BMW 5 series. A+ I personally find it more secure and reliable than using the Bluetooth one. Looks sturdy, time will tell.

Very good. High quality cable, worked perfectly for connecting a phone and then a laptop to a BMW 528i to run some tuning software.
