They work great at blocking out the sun. However, there seems to be a design flaw with the brackets and railing. Most of the blinds these days seem to have brackets that essentially hug the railing of the blinds. But these ones are designed to essentially push the railing apart. So if something were to cause the plastic railing to warp, even in the slightest (like with mine), the inside of the railing spreads too far apart and is unable to grip the brackets. And that is something that could be avoided if the brackets were designed differently. So now, my blinds won't even stay up because the railing is unable to grip the brackets. I will have to return these blinds.

These shades were easy to install, feel and look upscale, move up and down with smooth ease, and importantly, work. We purchased them because we wanted UV protection on west windows and these keep the room cool as advertised. Very happy with this purchase.

Without a doubt this product meets the expectation I had for it. We wanted to get blinds that completely blocked out the light as we had the cheapest blinds that you can get at Home Depot for years here and it always left a glare on the television that is across from these windows. As of putting these blinds up there is zero glare on the TV, the dogs do not destroy them by trying to look out the window, and we feel much safer because we have a toddler in the home and we have heard so many stories of tragedies that we are very glad these blinds were within our budget. I highly recommend them. Also installation was incredibly easy.

These shades do not sit flat against the surface they are installed on, leading to ample amounts of light coming through. They need to be anchored or they creep up during the night. Also, now not even 2 months later they are sagging and will not stay up all of the way.*pic #2 is to show that its not even a borough sunny day, and look at all of the light coming through on pic #1Pic #3 shows the sagging. I've tried wiggling it all different ways it won't stay up on the left side.

These are great! My kitchen was an open oven in the house because the sun would shine directly in the windows. We had tried blackout curtains but they did not block out the heat. We have had these in a few months and the house temperature has changed drastically. I've got these same blinds now on all bedroom and living room windows. We have had definite decrease of the AC running to cool the house. Outstanding product for a great price. Speedy response by customer service.

I spent a long time looking at various shades for my bedroom. I didn't want curtains- that would look to heavy, but traditional blinds don't darken the room enough. These accordion style blinds darken my room, are easy to open and close with just a push or pull, and look really classy. They have a quality fit to the window and nice finish- no ragged edges or ugly headers.

Once you pull these shades down and they remain down for a few days, you cannot retract them, they will not go up. The mechanism that allows them to retract back up, does not work. The shades were not stretched or even totally down. Imagine a piece of elastic that has been stretched past its limit and wont go back to its original length. Very disappointed after paying so much for them.

This curtain was easy to install and really makes the room dark, but it is so hard to get it to lift up. It takes two hands, one to lift the bottom up and the other to scrunch the blind together as you lift, otherwise it just flops around and doesn't compress when lifting up. I thought maybe it was just because it was new and needed to be broke. In,but its been up for months and just gets harder and harder to get it up. I will be replacing it with a different brand because it's such a pain to use.
