TEKTON 1/2 Inch Drive x 21 mm Deep 6-Point Socket | SHD23121

I needed some extra sockets to keep in my truck so that I would be able to change any tire on my truck or various trailers. These are good quality sockets that will out last me. They lock in place on the Tekton ratchet that I bought to use them with. I bought two deep and one shallow (to use with my chainsaw). They are good functioning tools and look good also.

Great for newer F150 brake caliper bolts. The sockets bites very good and was able to remove the bolts over the recommended 21 socket.

Tekton make some great tools... VERY AFFORDABLE

I purchased this socket because of prior positive experience with Tekton tools (which are typically made in Taiwan) and because of its 6 pt configuration. This socket was required to replace the heating element of our motorhome water heater during a road trip. The 12 pt 1-1/2 in socket purchased previously from the local Auto Zone for a significantly higher price turned out to be a complete piece of junk. The socket kept slipping off the hex nut of the heating element as some torque was being applied. This was because of excessive chamfering and the very loose tolerances of the socket which is typical of the junk made in communist China! On the other hand the Tekton socket provided a perfect fit, remained in place while being used and got the job done in no time.
