To size and good quality

The fit is a little tighter than another O'Neil I bought a few years ago, but the fabric is a bit thicker, making it a bit better in the pool.

Sizing is spot on. It is a snug fit shirt, as it should be for what it is for. If you want it to be looser I recommend going up a size. I wear it as a rash guard under scuba gear during the summer and surfing. Is a little thicker than some others as well but I anticipate it will last a long time. I expect only the best from the company and have several other shirts from the same company. They last much longer than some of the other less expensive ones I've had in the past. So far it has help up well to being worn under a lot of gear, no holes or tears.

Fit of this shirt is definitely close to the skin, not quite compression, but close. Unfortunately, I didn’t find this shirt gave me great sun protection. After coating myself in SPF 65 sunscreen, I put on my swim trunks and this shirt. Spent the day in the sun (Cozumel, MX), in and out of a pool. I reapplied sunscreen periodically to everything not covered by clothing. At the end of the day, I had bright red burns on my chest and shoulders (which were covered by the shirt but got no additional sunscreen) and nowhere else.
