Infected ears
The kit was simple to use, however my ears ended up very infected. I was very careful who clean my hands and my ears before using the kit. My ear lobes got red, tight and inflamed. Within a few days, there was pus and I had tender knots behind my joe under my ears. I removed the earrings and cleaned my ears very well, applied bacitracin, and replaced the earrings with some specifically for sensitive ears. Within 12 hours, my ears felt much better. Quick and easy...
Quick and easy. Daughter was excited. She said the first ear didnt hurt at all but the 2nd one gave a good sting. It was a gift and she had no clue as to what it was wrapped up so she was quite surprised when she realized what it was and I allowed her to have her 2nd hole done.

Worked like a charm
I was able to use this kit to pierce my own ears. These do not have a spring to snap it closed, only to push it open. I simply used a sharpie to mark a spot on my ears and then I was able to pierce them at my own rate, moving as quickly or slowly as I wanted to make the pierce as painless as possible. Would definitely recommend to anyone that has issues with the idea of a gun piercing system just popping a hole, this way you are in control. =)

Awesome
Worked great. I had to redo my ears because I have an issue with the holes closing. This was so easy .

Super duper easy!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This kit is awesome! I did it myself, and it was painless and easy. It comes with two alcohol wipes, two cartridges, and two earrings. I thought It would come with a pen, but I just used the tip of the earring to poke a little dent in my earlobe to make my mark. As soon as the post goes through the ear and into the backing, the piece that holds the pieces together fall out of the cartridge. I'm so glad I did this at home rather than have to go into a crowded, annoying mall. I definitely recommend this for anyone who wants to pierce their own ears at home.

thanks
not bad. i switched the earring out because i didn’t feel comfortable using the earring that went through and a piercing i couldn’t clean completely. so i have 14k gold hoops in with a gold stud. it works well didn’t get stuck and collapsed itself leaving the earring in beautifully. i slowly did it and instead of clamping on everything i decided to push the sharp part of the earring through my ear instead and when it was all the way through i clamped the earring into the back making sure it worked and didn’t get stuck. it hurt a bit more but i felt better doing it that way. i love it thanks !

So far so good (2nd hole)
I am not a doctor!Ok, so first I'll say the positive:Wow! Seriously, I lined them up to my mark, tightened it just enough that it was putting pressure on my ear mark, braced myself, and then just squeezed super hard and fast. I felt NOTHING! I seriously thought I broke it the first time I did it, because the piece holding the earring just popped off and I couldn't feel that it went through my ear. Those earring guns in stores have always hurt me - with this I felt nothing. I'm impressed!I'm not positive these are as thick as the earring posts you get when you go to the stores (like Claire's in the mall) and that might account for less pain - but for me that is not a downer, because regular earrings don't usually have thick studs, and being a second earring hole for me I don't intend to put much more than small studs in them. The negative:The earrings themselves are kinda big for starter earrings. I would prefer the studs be smaller mm (I got the round white crystal ones). However, if these earrings hold up, I'll always be able to use them in my first earring holes later... otherwise, I'm expecting them to be "throw-aways." I have no attachment to these cheap studs, because I already own high quality ones. I mean, c'mon, 6 bucks lol.My advice: take out the earring backs and put them aside in the packaging before you do it. If you leave them in the gun there's a chance they might not align properly and then it might not be as smooth a process as it was for me. I noticed on one gun the post was at a slight angle and had I left the backing in, they would not have lined up with the earring backing hole. Once the gun has put the earring in, then put alcohol on the backs before putting them on the studs. I keep my rubbing alcohol in a small 5oz spray bottle, so it's always fast and convenient to just spray whatever needs alcohol that way, whether it's directly on a wound, tool that needs sterilizing (tweezers, needles, etc), my toilet handle, or a cotton ball, and so on.Also, I first washed my hands and also sprayed my hands with alcohol before using the earring gun AND gave the earring gun itself a spray or two before doing it.After effect: they don't hurt or throb. But occasionally I spray the fronts and backs with alcohol and wiggle them a bit to get the alcohol on the wound and that stings for a very brief moment (seconds). As far as laying down, they definitely are sore when laying down. I think how you lay and how soft your pillow is will make a difference on comfort level - and if you're really sensitive to pain, I recommend doing one ear, letting it heal so it's no longer sore, then doing the second (that way if you're a side-sleeper you always have one side you can lay on without discomfort) - but compared to when I've got them professionally done, it's actually less pain with this process. No wonder stores/piercing businesses try to tell you not to use these single-use guns lol. They want you to pay. If they hurt too much a day or two after you do it, you might be getting an infection, so be sure to use warm water with mild soap and clean them a few times a day. Pat dry them well after each wash with fresh towel (like paper towel). Alcohol is good, too.... professionals try to tell you not to use alcohol cause "it causes scarring," but I have yet to have any aesthetic issues using alcohol with 4 ear pearcings and a lip ring. Again, they want to sell you cleaners lol.I also got their nose-ring gun... but I started to do it, slowly pressed enough to bore a little hole part of the way (enough to very lightly bleed like a pimple lol... barely any bleeding) but then it started to hurt and I could just not bring myself to do it. Ugh. I'm a chicken. I want to do it so bad, but I might need to get a friend to do it for me... one that would take pleasure in hurting me hahahaha (or else they might be too scared to do it quickly).Anyway, I hope this helps! If I have any problems arise I will update this review.

So easy and worth it!!
Worked great for piercing my granddaughter's ears for her Birthday. I sanitized them and reused for my ears and my grandson wanted his as well. I've gotten a lot of use out of this.

Super easy to use!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I honestly loved this gun! It was super easy to pierce my ears and I swear it didn’t hurt one bit!It was super easy and simple to use, very self explanatory.I believe I read reviews that they are not sterling silver but still an awesome price for the earrings and the awesome tool!Would highly recommend to anyone on a budget and who wants their ears pierced!

Quick and easy.
**Update** I haven't had any allergic reaction to the earrings. I have absolutely no pain and can sleep well on my ears. Simple make sure to not tighten the earrings more than the mechanism makes them and it'll be fine.**Quick and easy. It came in a sterelized package. It was very easy to use and I did not have any problem pushing all the way through both ears. It's less painful than biting your tongue but still stings a bit. I have a sensitivity to nickel and these aren't certified nickel free so I might need to change the earing but I'll see what happens in the next few days.

Not real steel or sliver. Worries about led poisoning
Pretty easy to use. But the earring it’s self if garbage. It turned back in about three days so now I have to buy real ones. I know they weren’t real good or anything but they should have at least been silver or stainless steel. Which they weren’t, just some cheap material from China. I also used them on my baby so now I’m worried about led

Easy to use, no pain!
Was a little skeptical of self-piercing tools, especially since always been discouraged by piercing artists. But my third lobe piercing closed very quickly after getting it done in a studio, so I didn’t want to spend another $100.This was SUPER EASY TO USE. My partner pierced it for me (he has no experience with piercings). Very quick, *click* done. It’s healing nicely too. No residual pain. I can even sleep on my sides! The only thing is one of the backings fell off when i was dressing. I just use one of my other earring backing. This is my third lobe piercing. I do not recommend this for cartilage piercing, the tool is not strong enough
