Q: Are these the same bean as fava bean?

The full name is Greek Arosis Fava Beans.

Q: Are these the same thing as Corona beans?

I believe that Corona is the variety grown in Italy, and Elefantes in Greece. The Arosis beans are very good, creamy and flavorful.

Q: Can these beans be sprouted to grow plants?

Yes. I’m in MidAtlantic area and used these to grow Gigante beans several years ago. I soaked for a few hours (4-6) then planted directly into my raised beds. Plants need a lot of staking as they are quite large. Easy to grow.

Q: What is the weight in pounds and ounces?

It says in product description...1 pound. When you prepare them which includes soaking them in water for 10 hours they at least double in size and weight.
