Slinky Brand Single Pop Toob Kids Spring Toy

This is the second time I bought this toy because our first one was used so much it finally broke. This toy won't get any WOW!!!! factor when the kids open it, but just give em time. I left ours in the car when our son was 2 in it just became something he played with on car trips. It's amazing the ideas kids will come up with for this thing. Then my 7 yr old started to see the value and it's just a really neat thing to have around as an imagination toy.

This is a good sensory toy for kids with autism or need sensory feedback. From our experience, they like the popping sound when they pull the pop tube open. Non-special need kids sometimes use the tube as a tunnel to push marbles thru the tubes. Only downside is that the tubes can break after repeated bending and use. We wish it would be more durable but overall they're a great and perhaps necessary sensory toy for some individuals.

Who knew something so simple would be so much fun?! Pull it apart, whirl it around your head, talk into one end and listen in the other. My kids have been thoroughly entertained with this stocking stuffer. It's going strong after three months of use.And, the best part, hook several together (they do fit together well) and make a looong "telephone".Cons: It will get stepped on and squished. We've had some success reshaping the accordion parts with our hands, but it's not perfect. Also, don't let baby sister chew on it. It's a cheap plastic and will get crushed easily.I'm sure this is overpriced also. You can probably buy 12 for a few dollars somewhere.

A great product that is fun and useful too. Children and adults love them.They are good for motor skills and articulation (just make sure whoever is talking into the tube is whispering or that the person listening at the other end has it away from their ear a bit as the sound is amplified.

I had bought marbles for my daughter and remembered as a kid that I used to play with marbles by running them through these slinky tubes. I was so excited to get these for her only to find that they are no longer made with as wide a diameter (about a few mm less but it makes a difference). Also found that the durability of these is much worse. The plastic is thinner making it easier to crush the exterior, rendering the slinky quality of that section unusable. Otherwise, it was nice to be able to find them, especially on amazon. However, I won't be using any more money to buy additional ones.

Although this says "Toobs" (note the plural) and says "assorted colors" but does not offer choices, I THOUGHT it was a box of these. (I did not know what they were, getting them as party favor. - So inexpensive and multiple were important factors. Almost $5 for ONE fits neither need.) NOTHING in the description indicated singular item. (Except for this same complaint in the reviews - which I did not know I NEEDED to read to know the product description!) Also - as this IS complained about in the description AND it is not corrected, it seems either 1. a very unconcerned seller or 2. purposefully misleading. Hmmm, neither of which is the sort I prefer to do business with. I will likely check into returning this - but that might not make sense given the cost of the item.

I had one of these as a kid and loved it. Now, my special needs daughter is using this as part of her in home therapy. She adores it and so does my other daughter. As expected with these, If you twist this too much or don't push it back together just right, it starts to get kinks in it after awhile. I don't find this a flaw because they used to do that when I was a kid and they are cheap enough to replace if it ever gets too busted. I usually help my (under 3 years old) daughters push it back together and just let them pull it apart.

The slinky pop tube is cute and fun to play with. My problem is the deception on the page where I purchased the item. THe picture shows a box of 10 or so pop tubes. There is a second picture of a child playing with them and he has three or four pop tubes hooked together. Imagine my surprise when I opened my package and found one lonely pop tube! I went back to check the add, and yes, down in the fine print it does state "price is for one". This statement should have been much more prominent and there should have been a picture of only one tube! The tube itself feels like a nickels worth of plastic. I feel I was deliberatly misled. Very unlike Amazon, which I have great respect for.

The poop tube is loved by my 3yo and autistic 6yo. They twist and turn it, make it into a ring and let their imagination flow.
