Stolzle New York Bar Double Old Fashioned Glasses, Set of 6

Excellent product. I looked far and wide for some heavy base, straight walled rocks classes and couldn't be more happy. These glasses have a very clean, modern appearance.I have had these for over six months now and between my friends and family have used them nearly nightly. The dishwasher has always been used for cleaning and they have held up without scratches, chips or etching.They came shipped with sufficient padding, all unharmed.The size was sufficient, although I thought they might be a little bit larger. They are easy to grasp and a one pour gin and tonic or vodka tonic with ice perfectly. (Albeit possibly a bit strong.) So far they have also held up to the use of my polished whiskey rocks where my previous, thicker walled glasses did not.Great purchase, Highly recommended to friends.

I have used these glasses in a few styles for many years. They are very well made. Clean lines and classic style. I will be buying more years from now when I have broken them through mishandling. Great glasses.

I really like Glasses - very smooth simple shape with heavy bottom. One was broken on delivery though.

These glasses are the perfect size for a variety of drinks: juice, on the rocks, sipping whiskey. They have a nice weight and are clean and contemporary looking

I did receive the first package with a broken glass in it, a huge disappointment since I wanted to try these immediately. As per usual Amazon has a great return policy, so I got the replacement in a few days.I think a main factor to reports of broken glasses with this set is the walls are fairly thin. Not design-flaw thin mind you, but thin enough shipping could wreak havoc. Once you get them in I have had zero problems with them, and they work great. Walls are straight up and down, and not overly thick. The base is weighty but not overbearing. I have a larger than normal hand so I think the grip on these glasses is great, but smaller hands may have a problem with them. They clean fantastically, and you can get that nearly-transparent look after washing and drying them without a lot of work. Stands up well against my whiskey stones as well, although I do take care not to test the ruggedness too often.

I liked the glass a lot BUT this happened. The top part of the glass slid off the base. As you can see from the photos the surface area where it separated is totally smooth to the touch. This happened after pouring in a half glass of milk and stirring in a tablespoon of chocolate syrup.What happened? Can this glass be replaced? I am hesitant to use the other glasses in the set now.

Glasses are well made with a solid base. I purchased them to match my stotzle wine glasses and champagne flutes. We are very impressed with the quality of all their products..

Yes, they're pricey, but they're absolutely worth it. The glass walls are a little thin, especially when considering the thickness of the base, but the Stolzle quality is apparent, I've already had a few incidents where other, heavier glasses have knocked the Stolzles and there has been no breakage. Hopefully this trend shall continue.

ich achte darauf, daß ich immer ein volles Set Gläser habe, dies ist bei meinem Sohn nicht so leicht.Die Gläser ist hübsch und stabil. Sie halten auch denn täglichen Gebrauch aus.

My second purchase of this size of Tumbler, which is a quality product.In between these two purchases I inadvertently purchased a set of 420 ml tumblers, which really are too big.I've also bought a set of 405 ml long drink tumblers, which are nice to hold, but a nightmare to stack in a dish washer, as turning them upside down makes them top heavy.All in all, the glasses are well made and good value.

Très joli verre, résistant (un verre est tombé sur le sol une fois, pas de casse). Assez lourd (positif) L'article était bien protégé, aucune casse à l'envoi, super !
