Good Night Galaxy (Good Night Our World)

Both of my boys, now almost 3 & almost 6, have loved this book since they were babies. It takes a lot of repetition to get to the threshold of "No, Mommy just can't read that again." It helped spark a serious curiosity and love of outer space in my 6 year old, who is insisting on an outer space cake for his bday. The pages are informative and age appropriate with out dumbing down the content.I always buy this for new babies in my life.

This is a very cute book. The theme for my son was outer space, so when I came across this book I knew I had to have it. I really like it because the pictures are more realistic than the standard children's book photos. It is an educational book, while being a good story for a child. As a two month old, my son loves looking at the pictures. It can be hard to find a book that will keep his attention, and this one did the trick. It was a good quality board book as well, and I think it will last much longer than most of the children's books we have around. I highly recommend this book!

I got this for our toddler not long ago and it's quickly become one of his favorite goodnight books. I just about can't turn a page without him asking what something is, or telling me what something ekse is. The book is well written for a young mind. Definitely a good book for any young kid!

I wanted to totally love this children's book as we are space nerds in this family.My 5 month old son really likes this book because of the graphics. The book's content teaches children everything from the sun, stars, the black holes to the different types of galaxies.The only thing that made me give this book 4 stars rather than 5 was that the writing style was inconsistent. It really doesn't flow and doesn't really go into any detail at all about the different things found in the Galaxy. With that being said, I do consider this a great introduction to all things space for babies/children.

My daughter likes the book, and so do I for the fact it's one of the few decent space books out there. My only knock against this is the writing style. There is no consistency to the writing. On some pages the description about what is on the page is good, but on others it doesn't really explain what it is other than the name. Despite this I still recommend it as i think it's a great introduction to space for toddlers.

Just received the copy of "Good Night Galaxy" I purchased for my sons. I knew when buying it used it would have some minor wear to the book, which I was not concerned about. What I AM concerned about is that the first two pages do not belong to this book. The first two pages are from another "Good Night" book in the series, but not to the Galaxy one I purchased. The pages are upside down and have nothing to do with the Galaxy at all. This was not mentioned anywhere in the description of the sale and I am very disappointed with this.The Book itself seems great, and I'm sure my kids will love it when we can get a replacement with all of the correct pages.

It's a hard read. It doesn't rhyme or flow very easily. Like if you read it out loud to a child, it doesn't have that sing songy ring to it so that's my only complaint. It's also pretty small but I still like it!

A nice little book to get my son introduced to space and all its wonders. I agree with some of the other reviewers out there about the flow of the book. Some pages flow and rhyme and others just feel off and odd. Overall not bad and my 1 year old loves the pictures in the book too.
