I could not believe how cool this tiny thing is! My son screams with delight when we play with it!It's incredibly user friendly (my 2 year old even has it figured out). You just pull your hand out from under it to make it go. It has sensors so it doesn't run into the ground. The tiny fans pack a big punch. If you hold your arm out, it comes to you which is awesome. It hurt my son a little when he picked it up the wrong way. We just taught him how to hold it without putting his fingers in the fan part and it solved the problem. It lights up different colors to indicate how charged it is. The only thing I wish is that it had a longer fly time so the fun didn't have to end!

This broke within two days of buying it. Amazon is dealing with the defective item as well as the Amazon feedback manipulation. As you can see, there is an insert that comes with the product asking folks to leave 5 star reviews and get in return $15 Amazon gift cards. If a vendor needs to BUY its feedback, consumers should be wary of its value.

I bought the first Flying Toys Drone for myself. I've bought several other toys like this for my grandkids and they haven't worked, so I wanted to test it myself. It worked great. We played with it continuously (kids and adults) over the Labor Day weekend. So I took it to my grandkids when I visited the next weekend. They loved it.When I arrived back home I ordered 2 more, one for each grandkid. I'm going to give them to the kids for Christmas. I brought my first one home, so we'd have one to play with here also. Thank you for making a drone that's fun for the younger kids, and it durable.

We are returning the UFO because it kept crashing and was difficult to control. We bought this as a gift for the grandkids and are so glad we tested it out before Christmas; the kids would have been very disappointed in the performance. We have a large open floor plan with 9 ft. ceilings but the UFO kept crashing into the walls, ceilings and people. We decided to test it outside, it didn’t have anything to crash into but it just kept flying and hovering erratically, we tried to control the flight pattern with had gestures to no avail. Eventually the light turned red indicating the battery was running down, that’s when things got really crazy. It kept going higher and higher until it was 100 feet off the ground, then it dropped and landed in a tree. My 64 year old husband had to climb the tree to get it.

Very cool toy. Will fly level and straight. Directions are terrible, obviously written by someone with very little understanding of English. I wonder why these companies do not spend a couple dollars and pay someone fluent in English to write the instructions. My son speaks English and Chinese and he would be happy to help. The toy takes courage to get it to fly. First switch the toy to "on". This does not start the blades. Then, you have to hold it in the palm of your hand and drop your hand from under the toy and the rotors will instantly begin to whir and off it wil go. It hovers nicely. You will love it as will your children. Highly recommended.

A friend bought this for his little boy and I was hooked - also saved. I'm a grandmother and trying to buy unique Christmas presents for 14 grandchildren and three nieces and nephews is HARD. I got this for most of them. I like playing with it - so the 16 year old boy should too - though, he may try to act cool doing it.I am charging and testing all of them as Christmas is more than 30 days away (isn't that a good excuse to play with toys?) The charger lights up when the device needs charging - and the light goes out when the toy is fully charged.Warning: I accidentally got my little finger into one of them. The toy fell to the ground, but I may have pushed it. My finger will be fine in an hour and the toy is fine. (Mild chafing.) The fans are small plastic devices - no real blades so I don't think they could do more than make a child cry - but do be aware that smaller children in particular should be warned to keep their fingers together when playing. It is an incredibly great toy. As a grandmother, I don't mind them needing to take a break every 6-10 minutes.

This was supposed to be a present for my daughter's 7th birthday. The party is this Sunday.The on/off switch literally broke off as I was going to test it/charge it. I can comment on neither the battery life nor the RC capabilities because it broke before I was able to test those things. This is one of the more disappointing purchases I've made because I dont have time to replace it. And now it is 'currently unavailable.' Wow...

Five stars. Amazing product. In every way better than expected.This was a gift for our four-year-old son. We pulled it out of the package the night before so that we could drain and fully recharge the battery, a task that sent me and my husband giggling and playing as if it were our birthday. Our dog even got in on the excitement.At the birthday party, this toy delighted our three children who were present. Our four- and five-year-old boys loved throwing the toy to start it and then controlling it with only their hands. Our one-year-old daughter expressed a desire to play, too, so I held her and let her get close enough to move the drone without touching it.We opened this present first so we could play until the battery died (about 8-10 minutes), and then opened other gifts while this recharged.A few weeks prior, we had purchased remote-controlled helicopters for our boys, but were disappointed because our (then) three-year-old didn’t have the coordination to work the remote and my extremely long hairs got caught in the rotors when the helicopter fell to the floor. But this drone has a protective shell that never got jammed with debris and there is no remote, making it very easy to use.This is my new go-to gift for birthday parties for people of all ages.
