I use this when I am cooking meat because I am not the best cook and I want to know when the food is done just enough to still be tender. This gadget does the trick and has a Celcius and Fahrenheit option. It also has a blue backlight that can be turned on but will shut off soon after to consume battery life. The screen is a little small but I knew that before buying so I can't complain there. The only thing I don't like is the cheap plastic covering the screen I tried to pull the protective film off and my fingernail left a dent in it. No big deal but it was annoying. Good for the price.

I didn't expect much for the price. I bought it for a temp job I have been working to monitor some food stations so I didn't have to use the one they provide. Very fast readings, simple and straight forward. I haven't cross checked the temps with another device yet but from experience it reads accurate compared to past readings. Customer service is very impressive, following up with my order and insisting on their pledge if anything goes wrong, they will be there. Very happy, didn't expect this response for such a small purchase.

So far, this thermometer works wonderful. I am a cook at a recreational/educational camp, I use it multiple time a day. Fast, accurate & easy to use. The only I would change is that it doesnt hang well onmy apron. It may be that the clip length doesn't support it's weight.

We have a few things that are standard in our life. Water boils at 212F or 100C for instance. Using this as test, I can see that this thermometer is accurate and quick to deliver the readout. Build quality hasn't yet been an issue but it is nice to know there is a warranty protecting against that should it fail.

readout is a little small but everything else is great especially the long probe which works great for large turkeys

Item works great. Good price and long probe makes it very easy to use. Some reviews complain about it being of cheap quality construction but its just a food thermometer and isn't supposed to be made out of steel. If you use it responsibly and treat it right it should last a long time.

The temperature jumps all over the place. Not for candle or candy making for sure. Need an old fashion Thermometer you can hang on the rim of the pot . Too much dipping in and out. Only good for meat.

Nice digital kitchen thermometer, especially for the price. Slim probe doesn’t damage the food, and accurate and fast reading. Illumination would be nice but can’t complain for the money
