these are a great way to introduce geography and maps to a youngster. They work well to make up just a ten minute 'game' to identify and talk about a couple of the countries or states on the map. Just what I wanted for the kids.

Can't wait to use these! They are the perfect size for the project my students are going to do.

I ordered this 2 sided map for my third graders to label and color during our geography unit of study. We are using the World Map to learn about the hemispheres, equator, continents and oceans. On the reverse side is a US political map that we will be using later when we learn more about the geography of the United States, regions, time zones and the location of our state specifically. These maps are very detailed and even include a lot of the little islands all around the world. It also has the equator and the other major lines of latitude (Tropic of Cancer, Tropic of Capricorn, etc.). There are no labels on this map, making it more versatile to use as you wish without all the labels confusing and distracting the students. I wish it included the Prime Meridian and had the degrees of Latitude and Longitude along the edges of the map, as this is another area that we learn about in geography. Other than that, I have been very pleased with this map overall. The size is great as well; not too big and not too small. It fits great on their desks and is large enough for third graders to easily label large areas like continents and oceans. And it comes in a pack of 50 which makes it more cost effective for 2 classes.
