ACF 40 Log Car with Logs
I did NOT receive any "Uprights" with MY Log Car so I'll have to get some Tooth Picks. Otherwise the product is fine since it's on "Static Display" most of the time anyway. UPDATE !!! I found the "Up-rights" and installed 8 onto the Log Car (without Glue) by first using a RAZOR BLADE to (CAREFULLY) shave 1 end of each to a point. They went in easy and they're in tight. Now I'll have to change the rating to FIVE STARS !

A very realistic log car!
Great product. Exceeded my expectations. The detail on the car is meticulous, and the logs appear very realistic. Fair price and prompt delivery. I am completely satisfied with this purchase. Thank you Bachmann for your great work, and thank you Amazon for your outstanding service.

Not very good
The uprights that are supposed to hold the logs on the car do not fit in the holes that are supposed to hold them up. I tried gluing them but the just kept falling down. I glued pointed round wood toothpicks of a similar color and cut them doen. That worked.

Glue It!
The uprights are not pre-attached and they just barely fit in the slots. I recommend gluing it. The logs are very durable and a little heavy (a good thing). The logs are more detailed than the flat car actually. The logs don't slide around during the trip, particularly behind a Shay locomotive, so you can rest easy about playing pickup.

Bachmann Trains - ACF 40’ log car with logs (1906-1935)
grandson love it but didn't like the little sticks that held the logs on had to buy crazy glue to glue them down permanently because logs keep falling off !

Nice addition to my collection.
Very nice looking car. The loggs are pretty decent looking. Only gave it 4 stars for a couple reasons. 1. for a logging car, it sure is shiny. Would have like to see it in more flat colors. And 2. because the stake rails are made of thin plastic and don't fit in the car and bent easily. I fixed this by making the side stakes out of toothpicks and staining them gray.
