This is good to have for anyone who needs instant relief of shoulder tension and pain. I use it regularly - often a few times a week and am thankful for the warmth that helps loosen whatever is going on in my neck, shoulder, or lower back. It's easy to 'cook' in my microwave, then apply and secure, and because it's weighted it works if I'm standing or sitting upright with it on. Even with regular usage it still holds the heat well and is effective. Moist heat is better at offering up pain relief, and it's nice to not have to worry about damaging wires or the fire hazard of an electric pad if I fall asleep with it on too. This heat wrap is made well; designed perfectly to specifically fit shoulders, but can also be used elsewhere easily; and it's priced right too. Highly recommended!

My massage therapist urged me to buy something like this for use at home to help relax neck and shoulders after long work days. One side is a flat brushed fabric and the other has a velvety texture which is nice on my face. It can be either frozen or heated and comes with an instruction card (the instructions are also printed on a fabric tag attached to the product). It is nice and heavy - drapes well. It is filled with rice, so you cannot wash it. If you want to do more than spot clean, suggest you find a cover that you can use with it. Once heated for about 2 minutes in the microwave, it stays warm for quite a while. I have not tried it frozen. My only complaint might be that the neck hole feels a little small... not right away but after wearing for awhile it starts to feel a little tight in an anxiety-producing way. Other folks probably won't have that problem. Edit: Someone from the company emailed me right after I submitted this review and offered to send me a new one with a larger neck hole at no charge. I am happy to report the adjustment makes the wrap much more comfortable to wear and I'm very pleased with the customer service.

This is the best cold therapy pack I have ever encountered. It provides just the right level of coldness. The weight makes you know that it is in place but doesn't feel heavy or like it is weighing you down. And I just love the way it secures with the Velcro tab. I put it in place, secure it with the tab and it stays exactly where I placed it while I go about doing things. Also the price is very reasonable. I haven't used it for heat therapy but expect to have the same great results.

I have arthritis of the spine and shoulders. I've tried many products. This was works really well and hold and seems to hold the heat better and longer than others. The weight bothered me at first, but I don't seem to notice it so much how. For the shoulders and upper back I recommend this product. Getting up to reheat it several times, could present a problem.

This is my 3rd or 4th My Hearing Pad. I have obviously been a great fan. However there has apparently been a change in the content of the pad itself. I have to heat this pad hotter than the previous ones to bring it up to the same warmth and I need to reheat it more frequently and longer to maintain a comfortable temperature.

This heating pad fits well and stays in place. You can move around and it stays on. The channels keep the inside material from falling to the ends like the U shape style does, holding the heat where you want it. I have 2 bad discs in my neck and this works well for me.

We love this company's products abut I should have listened to the reviewers when they said it doesn't hold heat. Very true. Our other design has chambers that allow the rice to move around so we looked at this one as the chambers are fully sewn and the rice stays put. I guess the design flaw might be that the chambers are too small so the rice doesn't buddy up and keep each other toasty warm.....too far apart and they cool faster. We don't even bother using this one as it's just not worth the effort - sad but true. Hopefully a better design will come from this?

It works ok, but it's small. This is my second one the first one I bought was double the size, weight and I cost the same amount of money and from the same seller. Super weird. The seller couldn't understand why. After a lot of back and forth communication they conceded it was their problem and refunded my money. I loved my first one I used it all the time. It was my favorite heating tool. Earlier this year I was visiting my aunt and she had a lot of shoulder pain, so I let her use it she fell in love with it . So I left it with her nd thought I would buy a new one when I got home. I miss that bag. The new one I bought doesn't compare!

Very well constructed with quality fabric. I would like if there was an option to purchase a washable cover. Fits perfectly and is very comfortable. I wish that it heated to a higher temp.

Bought this for my hubby and he uses it all of the time. It is generously filled with material unlike some others I have bought. I like the stitching as it keeps everything in place and the internal material doesn't move around. It is nice to have two choices of fabric to place against the skin. It stays hot for a while and is easy to microwave. The added weight gives that "ahh" feeling.
