5 stars for medium hold. i think i want a strong hold though.I have started to grow out my mustache and beard, about 3 months in. its over an inch long and the beard has patchy spots.i first tried smooth vikings conditioner and balm , but those are more oil based. where this is more wax based. i know that sounds weird, but i mean this thicker and stiff where as smooth viking basically turns into olive oil.i wanted it to train my beard down so its not all pokey looking. for that it does work. and you dont have to use much. it also helps shape my mustache sideways so its not in my mouth. it holds pretty well throughout a full day and is easy enough to wash out.it does have a slight odor, almost citrus like. i dont mind it at all. the smooth viking is "odorless", but kind of has a dust or chalk smell i dont like too much.i wish this was $5-6 , but even for $10 im not made at it.

I've worn a beard and mustache nearly 40 years but only recently decided to go long. This is my second tin of wax and my reason for selecting this over others was 1) a much larger tin for the same or better price and 2) the owner and the company's website. I have a heavy moustache and to control it, I need a strong wax. This product smells nice, looks nice, applies easily and holds a long time. Now I probably won't be curling up to a handlebar very often but feel confident I can with this product. I mostly use the wax, at least for now, to keep the stache out of my mouth. I was concerned about washing the wax out but have had zero trouble doing this. I use my Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Soap with a body brush and scrub my whole beard, moustache and face. Invigorating.I have no complaints about this product and will be trying/reviewing their beard oil soon. One of my son's has started growing out his beard and moustache so I ordered a tin of this for him also. He tossed out his first tin and has started using this wax exclusively. He's very picky about hair care products and gives this one a resounding two thumbs up!

I am very pleased with my purchase of Beardsmen’s Moustache Wax. I used moustache wax years ago and was never really happy with the look or feel of it in my moustache. This product is very different from what I had used years ago. The Beardsmen’s wax goes on clear, holds throughout the day, and gives my moustache a natural looking shine. The hold is sticky, not hard like the other wax I used. My moustache was easy to shape and even comb through after the wax had been applied (though that does reduce the effectiveness a bit).I believe it is a good product for the price and I am looking forward to trying other products from Beardsmen’s based upon how pleased I am with their Moustache Wax.

ACTUAL USER OF THIS PRODUCT. I have a full red beard in a profession where beards are not exactly tolerable so grooming is a must. As stated this wax has medium hold. It really falls somewhere in-between the categories of a balm and a wax. After application you'll have some immediate oily residue but it fades in a few hours as does the hold. Needs re-application about every 3-4 hours for desired hold. Has a mechanical lubricant scent to it, not undesirable, but certainly not a selling point. Using a balm or beard oil prior to this product leaves a oily residue that stays until washed off and fails to have any hold. If you don't want to deal with the hard resin waxes but want a small amount of temporary hold and luster this might be the product for you.

SUCH A STEP UP from drug-store "waxes"!The hold on this is almost-but-not-quite. I see it says 'medium', so not complaining, just reporting.In order to feel like I leave the house with enough on to last the few hours, I end up feeling like I used too much. At these prices, feeling like I'm using too much is tough. Then again, my 'stache is a wild and cranky thing (just like me - go figure), so maybe I just need a tin of the high-test....Otherwise, I like this very well: easy enough to use (though I think combing-in as you go may be important), smells fine and not annoying (and I am REAL sensitive about scents!). GLAD I was able to get it on sale....

I'm just going to say Freaking Awesome! That's really all that has to be said! But I'm going to give it to you anyway. I opened the package, took the lid and the fragrance was just so delightful. Just a good manly smell. Good Stuff! The fiance said she really likes it too. She has been complaining about my mustache because she can't kiss me without hair ending up in in her mouth. So thanks to the mustache wax she can reach my lips! The hold is great so far! I just received it today and I was like a kid opening a present on Christmas morning! Because I'm getting kisses tonight! I would suggest if your lady is the same way buy this stuff it works!

First time I used anything like this and I've had a mustache for fifty years. It manages to keep both ends symmetrical which is why I tried it. I'll never know how many opportunities I lost because one end was up while the other was down.Has a smell for the first five minutes but then it's gone. The waxiness eventually fades but by that time the hair has been trained to stay in place. My initial obstacle was how much to put on. I found out - very little. I've noticed since using it that my facial hair is becoming trained to naturally stay in place. All in all, a good product. Probably long lasting so I won't need another for a year or so.
