Wow, I did not expect this to work so well! Great coffee and very simple!
When I read about this coffee-making method on Tim Ferriss' blog, I wasn't sure what to think. However, since my husband has claimed my Aeropress for our home, I needed a new method to make coffee at my desk at work. Since this coffee sock is so small, simple, and straightforward, not to mention cheap, I decided to give it a try. The two coffee socks arrived exactly as described. Each consists of a relatively sturdy wire frame/handle, with a natural cotton "sock" threaded onto the wide end. The cotton sock has a loop end on one side that could be used to hang it up. I was a little disappointed that the sock appears to be sewed onto the frame, so it can't be removed to wash it. Each was individually wrapped, and there were no odors or any issues that I could see, so I just rinsed them before use. Making coffee with the coffee sock is very easy. I just put a scoop of coffee into the middle of the sock, place it on top of my mug, and slowly pour hot water through until it nearly reaches the top. This takes several minutes, kind of like making a pour-over cup of coffee. The coffee in the sock remains immersed in the hot water, though, and once I'm done pouring I set a timer for two minutes. Then I remove the coffee sock, letting the remaining coffee water drip into my cup. The whole process takes maybe 5 minutes or less. Cleanup is similarly easy. I dump the coffee grounds into the compost and thoroughly rinse the coffee sock, then set it aside to dry. It is quite easy to get all the coffee out of the sock by just rinsing it. Although I had originally planned to wash the coffee socks periodically in the laundry, so far I think rinsing has done an excellent job, as I don't see, feel, or taste any residue in my next cup. This coffee-making method has zero waste, and is quick, convenient, and efficient. I plan to take the coffee sock with me when traveling and camping, as it packs up unbelievably small and light. All I need is hot water, coffee grounds, and my coffee sock. I'm 100% sold. Even my husband felt the coffee made using the coffee sock was comparable in quality to the coffee we make using the Aeropress with the Fellow Prismo permanent espresso filter (cost = $50+), although both methods extract a little differently, resulting in different flavors and aromas being prominent. All in all, I am quite happy and would definitely recommend this product.

Perfect for old fashion coffee lovers !!!
I was waiting to add my review here because I wanted to know if after using for a while my Cloth Coffee Filter I still would like it. To be honest, I'm in love with how easy it is to keep it clean and the most important, NO bad tasty at all after using and washing it several times. It reminds me of my childhood when my gramma used to make coffee to us! Perfect for old fashion coffee lovers !!!

Good filter
It’s easy to use and easy to clean after using it for a while the coffee stain will not go away but I don’t mind that. My only problem with the filter is it’s size, too small and will have to use it a few times to make enough coffee just for 1 cup

Needs an improvement, then it would be great!
Cloth filters should be stored in water in the fridge to keep bacteria from forming. The cloth is EXTREMELY hard to put on the metal ring when they are wet. Also the way its sewn together, you are limited to about 28 grams of coffee in the filter. It need to be deeper. The pocket is very shallow and after you pour your bloom, it’s almost full to the rim. Very hard to keep pouring without fresh coffee degassing and overflowing the filter. Flavor is great, its cloth, what could be better?

Exactly what I wanted
I grew up with "sock coffee", and I think it makes the smoothest coffee. A few years ago, the brand of filters I had been buying at the store changed fabrics, from flannel to something resembling a tee shirt. I wasn't even sure if it was 100% cotton. Yuck. This strainer is a nice thick flannel material. Seems to be all cotton. It's the right size/length for me as I only make a couple cups of coffee at a time. I steep the coffee in the pot not in the filter. Just make sure to turn the heat off when the water boils, before adding the grounds. Then I pour that through the strainer. Leaving a lot of the spent grounds behind. I rinse the strainer afterwards. If it slow to drain, I boil the strainer and that seems to help. Eventually though, you'll need a new one. And will be retuning to Nuomi if it is still available.

Very poor design--DO NOT waste your money!
Whoever designed this product clearly never makes coffee (and does not sound like other reviewer even used the product at all): 1) The strainer is too shallow for the grinds to strain into the cup/pot without spilling over the edge. It is barely curved at all, and should be shaped more like a sock or funnel that comes to a point which directs the drip. 2) the metal ring is way too large, and cannot balance properly on a cup or mug or pot, so it's unwieldy and awkward. I made a very poor choice buying this! The seller does not accept returns, so I just wasted money and ended up with 2 useless objects.

Very practical and portable coffee filter
I take this filter whenever I'm traveling as I must have my cup of Joe every morning and I love to try the local coffees. This sock beats my grandmother's version, which is too long for a regular cup. I ended up giving away the second sock to my girlfriend who loved it too. An added value is that it's portable and reusable, therefore, I feel like I'm contributing a little bit to the local environmental footprint.

Easy delicious coffee: 1. Steep the coffee 2. Wait for a minute or two depending on the coffee Bean (The majority of the grind settle to the bottom) 3. Pour the mixture through the filter (careful to not dump the grinds unnecessarily) We bought this for camping and now use it daily. Con: paper filters are disposable and a waste, with this filter you will want to clean it. Clean: 1. Tap into the composte 2. Rinse with the water remaining in your kettle. 3. Hang to dry

These are great but really only make one large cup of strong coffee. You can squeak two medium ones out of it by filling really full .

coffee filters amazing but milk tea is loosing its taste. milk tea (chai) is not suitable for this.

great for use with chemex or similar products. Easy to clean. Had to experiment with the grind and I find fine ground coffee works best. In my opinion best suited for 1 cup or fewer cups of coffee not for making a big pot

Not quite long enough for my Costa Rican chorreador, but fits on top of my automatic drip carafe nicely. Cloth-filtered coffee is probably my favourite brew method, and done well, it's some of the best coffee you'll ever have. These perform as expected, but it's very important to know how to maintain a cloth filter, to avoid a mildewy taste
