Sleek and stylish!
Beautiful, sleek and modern styled fan finished off a living room remodel perfectly. The Koa wood finish and curved blades are unique and the infinite dimming of the led light are great features of this fan. Very happy with this purchase.

Amazing fan. Very powerful.
This fan puts off a lot of wind and looks beautiful doing it. We got this because it ranked the highest on Consumer Reports and because it looked much higher quality than the stuff at big box stoes. The light is very bright, even when dimmed all the way down. It may be much for someone with a standard 8' ceiling in the bedroom.

Nice, but you'll need a ladder twice a year.
This fan is pretty, it blows well, and it will run silently - except for the sound of the wind it makes at its highest speed. The Led light is attractive, effective, and dimmable. The whole fixture is not heavy and not too hard to install. However, the remote has no switch to reverse the blade direction. To change from winter to summer setting, one must climb a ladder and flick a switch on the fan itself. This fan is a bit expensive to lack a convenience that some other fans do have.

Great Design and Rustic fan for the office and a nice finish.
Fan install was relatively straight forward. After install I did notice some slight clattering, so I lifted off the canopy portion that sits atop the fan motor and clamped it to stay up(it just sits down on the fan motor by gravity with no fasteners). Turned the fan back on high and the noise was still there. So I put that canopy cover back in place and removed the small upper canopy screw cover and checked for noise again and it was still there. I then removed the 2 screws holding the upper canopy cover on and then let it slide down on top of the lower motor cover. I then turned the fan back on high and "Wa-Lah"....totally quiet, so I knew I'd found the culprit. Did some troubleshooting, and looked at the upper canopy cover on the inside and then looked at where it sits up next to the fan mount bracket and saw that it was metal, just like the canopy cover, so I took some Gorilla double sided tape(any double sided tape will work) and cut three little strips that would just fit between the metal on the mount bracket and the metal on the upper canopy cover where they fit next to each other when screwed down. I slid the upper canopy cover back up and installed the 2 screws and then put the trim screw cover back on. I turned the fan back on high and guess what....no more rattling. I'm assuming I'm not the only one who has experienced this and thought I'd get this written in the review, as someone else might not have to scratch their head as long and get the issue fixed ASAP. If the Manufacturer is reading this, please put a couple thin little rub-strip pieces on the inside small diameter of that upper canopy cover, so there is no metal-to-metal contact when those 2 screws are tightened down. Okay....enough here on this, and I'll once again say I Love the fan and its design. I'm only docking one star on the noise level, and it's something that can easily be rectified with just a small piece of rub-strip material. Best Regards to all other owners of this fan.

Very Disappointed
I purchased two of these fans and was not able to get them installed for several weeks. We had stayed in a beach rental that had one of the Minka Air in a bedroom and it looked great and worked well. I read reviews and decided we would purchase 2 of the Minka Air, one for master bedroom and one for the living room. We paid an installer to put them both in on the same day.The bedroom fan was installed first. The box contained 2 remotes. Installation looked fairly easy. The fan started up quietly although I quickly realized that only 1 remote worked. The initial start up was good although there was a slight humming sound which I had read about in reviews. Unfortunately, the slight hum is a heavy aggravating buzzing sound when the fan is on high. It is in fact unbearable. Last night I had to cut it back down to low because it was so annoying. The living room fan was installed with no problems and you can barely hear it running. It had only 1 remote which works well.I really would like to return the fan but quite frankly, I'm embarrassed to have to ask someone to unhook it and take down to send back. I am extremely disappointed that two exact fans could run so different from each other.Hope the supplier reads these reviews and can advise of how best to handle this situation.
