I would recommend this thermometer to any adult but especially parents. The packaging says you should watch a video to see how to properly use it, but it’s pretty self explanatory. For forehead, briefly press the head button while holding it up to your temple. Done! For ears, pull off the cap on the thermometer and then pull on your own ear like you are putting in an ear plug and press the ear button. Done! Super simple. It has color coding for your temperature, but I think that is not needed (I know how hot is considered to be a fever).I love that you don’t have to use disposable pointless ear guards to use. This also has easy-to-replace AAA batteries instead of the button type. I have ended up trashing the cheap type of thermometers once their batteries die because they were not worth replacing. This thermometer also has a nice storage case. It also has a memory for storing recent readings. It seems well built. I know what I am going to be buying next baby shower!

FAST AND ACCURATE! This thermometer is so easy to read and is very fast at providing an accurate temperature. I loved that the batteries are installed upon arrival and you can simply remove the battery pull tab and the thermometer is ready to go. This is so convenient when you are too sick to think and don't want the hassle of installing batteries. I compared this thermometer to several others that I have on hand and it provided an accurate temperature and was so easy to use. This will be my go-to thermometer from now on and I highly recommend it to everyone!Pros: Fast, Easy to use, and Accurate. This thermometer scored a 5/5 in all of these areas for me.Cons: The only con that I found was that I was uncertain on how to convert it to an ear thermometer. When you have a temp of 104 it becomes a little harder to think about these simple things. If you have this same issue too, all you do is pull the cap off. It would have just been nice to have an arrow or something to show this.

Very convenience and very easy to use. However the instruction isn't that detail enough such as normal adult / baby / senior temperature guidelines. Ear temperature usually 0.5-1c higher then forehead temperature measure, but this product comes out different results. A slightly movement may cause the result differently.

This is a follow up to my review entered a few days ago where I mentioned the thermometer I received was defective and would not give accurate temperature readings. I emailed Amazon and described the problem and the seller sent me a new one that works perfectly-so apparently the first one I received was just defective for some reason--I am very pleased with the replacement. Thank you Amazon.

When I first got this thermometer in March 2020, I thought it was fairly accurate, and we used it often during Covid until we were immunized. I then put it away until August 2021. When I tried using it again, the thermometer no longer worked. Thinking it simply needed new batteries, I changed them, but It still did not turn on. I tried still other batteries and got the same result-nothing. It is now past the warranty stage, and I am beyond disappointed. I believed for the price I paid at the time, it would have lasted longer. I cannot recommend a product that failed for no discernible reason. It looks brand new; it just doesn't work.

Product came well packaged with good instructions. Very easy to use in either ear or on forehead. Results only took 3 seconds. Much easier and quicker than the old digital thermometer that this product replaced. Buttons are big and easy to distinguish. Display is backlit and numbers are big enough I don't need glasses to read them. Nice velour drawstring bag for storage. Runs on 2x AAA batteries which were included. Tested it several times the first day, and my temperature was always the same (plus or minus 0.1*F) so the accuracy seems consistent. Worth the money.

Ok, I'll get the positives out of the way. the numbers are easy to read and the display isn't overly bright in dim lighting. As for the rest, the design of this device isn't the greatest.> The removable cap was made harder to remove than it had to be. Also, it has the potential to break or even get lost. They could have easily made the probe retract or extend with a simple button slide. In short, the removable cap was just a really bad design choice.> The probe (with the cap on) to measure temp on the head is always a degree less than the ear readings. ALWAYS. To correct for this, just remove the cap, THEN swipe on the forehead. 90% of the time, I got within 0.2 degrees difference between the forehead and ear. If you go to any doctor's office, that has the head swipe type of thermometers, the sensor is ALWAYS an open metal-tipped sensor and NEVER covered by a cap with a tiny opening for the probe.> I've had several false readings vs my regular thermometer. For instance, I heard the beeps and saw the red screen, saying I had a 101.2 F fever, taking the measurement in my ear. My regular thermometer says I was at 98.7 F. I found that it's best to try again, 1 to 2 more times, if you get a reading that is obviously false.It is of my opinion, this product is way overpriced for such a poorly designed product, and its barely adequate performance. I am however, going to just keep mine, because I know now how to circumvent the idiosyncrasies of this device. I would advice anyone reading my review, to look elsewhere for a digital thermometer.

There are a few great features about this product. I love the ease of use and versatility of this product. Simple enough for a child to use. The product was so easy to use, you almost don't need the instructions. However the instructions were specific and detailed. They were very easy to understand.It is great that it can be used on the forehead or in the ear, very helpful if you have an ear ache or fussy child. I also love that the part that goes into the ear canal is comfortable.
