Q: Does this require Calcium Nitrate or other elements to complete the formula?

Yes I use Calcium nitrate for my lettuce. 10 grams fertilizer to 10 grams calcium nitrate and 5 grams Epson salt per 5 gallons of water.

Q: Does this need anything else added with it to be complete for growing lettuces? Calcium or something else?

A very good 5 gallon Hydroponic nutrient formula for lettuce is 2 teaspoons of 8-15-36 Hydroponic nutrients with 2 teaspoons of Calcium nitrate and 1 teaspoon of Magnesium sulfate. .Mix the 8-15-36 in 5 gallons of water. Then mix the Calcium nitrate in a small cup of warm water until dissolved and add this to the 5 gallons of water and stir. Then mix the Magnesium sulfate in the small cup of warm water in the same way until dissolved and add to the 5 gallons of water and stir. Adjust the Ph to 6.4 for seedling plants and 6.0 for mature plants. Lettuce grows very well in this Hydroponic nutrient formula.

Q: Is this good mix for tomatoes and peppers.

You could certainly use this on both Tomatoes and Peppers. However, this is not the perfect formula for those since it has too much Nitrogen for Tomatoes and not enough for Peppers. Says right on the package - 2.5 grams (1/2 tsp) per 1 gallon.
