Great except...
This is a super idea for carrying things that are otherwise awkward since there's a handle. A box or boxes can be carried into the post office, for example, much more easily by the handle if you need to use a cane for example. The only thing I don't like is that the velcro stops too soon so while it works for a big box, it doesn't for a smaller one without a lot of fiddling to wrap the strap multiple times and find a place where the velcro can grip. Still it's a good solution, I just hope the makers will make the velcro double sided so it can grasp anywhere even when a box is wrapped multiple times.

Strap a Handle is better
I do not agree with the other reviewers for the 5 star ratings. I will try and prove my point with a detailed comparison.I'll compare the Velcro Velstrap, Upto 50 lbs, Black (90482) 6ft to a Strap A Handle 6ft(SAH) .The products are the same listed lengths. They do the same job, but they work very differntly. There are 5 big differences:1. The built of the handle2. The orientation of the handle3. The way the belt is tightened4. The working length of the strap5. The priceFirst the built of the handle: The Velstrap is just a piece of belt. So it is not comfortable to lift something heavy. The SAH is a nice cushioned tubular handle. So it is much better to lift long and heavy.Second, the orientation of the handle. The Velstrap is oriented in the direction of the belt, while the SAH is oriented at a 90 degree angle. This matters because most of the times you will tighten the belt around the short side of the item you want to carry. The 90 degree angle gives you the best hold when carrying.Third is the way the belt is tightened. The Velstrap uses velco, which holds well. The SAH uses two metal buckles that lock when the belt is tightened. This also holds good.Fourth and very important is the working length of the strap. Because of the way the belt is tightened. The SAH has a better efficiency regarding working length. With the SAH you only lose about 2" of the total length. With the Velstrap you lose about 10". This is a major difference in favor of the SAH.Fifth is the price. The SAH is a bit more expensive but it is really worth it. The SAH is a much better product for only one or two dollars more.I hope this review helps you out to make a good decision.

Excellent handles for carrying large reflector telescope
2” x 6 foot black straps. Purchased a pair to create soft carry handles for 12” reflector OTA. Very well made with heavy stitching and excellent Velcro hook-and-loop engagement. I believe the 75# load per strap is conservative and have no issue carrying a $900 scope tube around with this. Cutting 2.5” width drawer liner strips (<$5 anywhere) to go around the tube and under the straps works perfectly to eliminate sliding or turning. I believe this particular strap will work on almost any common reflector tube size due to the extended mating area, particularly think it will work on a 10” or 12” (my 12” OTA is 44.5” circumference), and probably up to 16” reflectors. Another plus is there are no hard plastic handles to dent the tube.

... a porch mat when taking trips to outdoor event like picnics or 'movies in the park' or outdoor concerts
I purchased this strap to carry a porch mat when taking trips to outdoor event like picnics or 'movies in the park' or outdoor concerts. The mat is large but folds up and is about 4ft tall and 1ft and 12in in dimensions wide. For some reason I thought this could be carried over my shoulder but in reviewing the pictures it only has a handle designed to carry it. The only problem with the strap is that it is designed to carry wider objects. The strap is too short to fit around my mat the long way and the connecting velcro makes is too long to wrap around the short way. I had to tie and tuck to connect the end of the strap. I hope that makes sense. Basically the strap doesn't match the measurements of my mat folded up.

These can handle a decent load
I had an issue with the subwoofer in the cargo area of my car sliding around and even tipping over. I drive a WRX, so that might be part of the issue... anyway, it's a 12" subwoofer in an MDF enclosure, so it's pretty hefty. After accidentally denting the front grill of the sub in, I bought two of these straps and used them to strap the sub to the cargo tie-down on the side of the cargo area. I haven't had any issues with it moving around at all, even during "spirited driving".

Great Package Carrier!
I purchased one of these several years ago. It remains one of my favorite things. I live on the second floor of an apartmente building without an elevator. This strap allows me to carry bulky items up the stairs with ease. It’s well-made and durable. I can’t recommend it strongly enough.

Don't underestimate the velcro!
Used to check a 45lb window AC unit in original packaging (cardboard box, no handles) from the US to Brazil. Not only made carrying the package much easier for me, but the airline personnel seemed to appreciate the handle as well. I was doubtful that a velcro strap on handle would work for a package of that weight, but based on other reviews decided to give it a try and was pleased. I did secure an additional luggage strap perpendicular to this velcro strap and threaded through the handle for extra support and to ensure the handle would not slide off during transport. .

Easy to secure, makes carrying a breeze
I have arthritis in my hip and I need to hold the handrails whilst going up or down stairs. I live up 4 flights. Carrying packages was a dangerous and often impossible chore.I was skeptical about this product. I envisioned the strap being difficult to secure or stay tight. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised! Not only is it easy to secure, but it makes boxes very easy to carry. My first use was a 15x12x8 box weighing 15 pounds that I needed to get downstairs and topost office. Easy!

Holds strong all day even when wet
Purchased these to strap my cooler onto my SUP. They're the perfect width for my cooler but a bit big for my SUP's deck eyelets. It works though. I can pull the straps nice and snug and the Velcro doesn't come undone even when wet. Wish they were about 6" shorter but it seemed like it was either 18 or 36 inches, so I went with 36.
