I didn’t know it was so easy to teach yourself the guitar and this book makes it SO easy! Very clear! Pauric knows exactly what mistakes common beginners make and addresses them ahead of time.Easy to understand photos, lessons are simple and buildable. I love the QR codes with videos that explain in even more. Love it! I would recommend it to anyone who wants to play the guitar!

How to Play Acoustic Guitar is a great book to get you started , I like the simplicity of the material covered which allows you to start playing right away.No fluff, less is sometimes more.The book provides a framework of skills/techniques which build on themselves when learning chords & strumming patterns laying the foundation for success (playing music), progressively working towards perfection.Crawl, Walk, Run.What impressed me the most and why I took the time to write this review was getting to the back of the book on pg. 129 meet the author, Live webinar -video every Wednesday for free.I'm a skeptic by nature but figured I'd check it out, realizing I needed some additional support.Jump on the webinar and met Pauric Mather author of the book, conversation started with discussing some of my goals as a beginner and then covered a few technique issues I was struggling with.Applied Paurics feedback to my next practice sessions and all I can say is this was a tremendous help!I 've purchased Pauric's other books based on this experience, 100 Guitar Chords & Barre Chords on Guitar.Still learning but having fun, just remember, you get out if it what you put into it!

Easy to follow. The chord illustrations and the corresponding picture of finger placement is easy to follow. Able to learn the chords much quicker. Just wish there was a video accompanying the book.

This is exactly what my son was looking for. It made a great gift.

Unfortunately, the book wasn't as expected. Most lessons weren't relevant for my experience level. I should have checked it sooner, so I could have returned.

I don’t normally have time to write reviews, but as a true beginner I am amazed at this book. This book teaches so many vital things that will get you playing well very quickly (simple chords, posture) in such a simple way. It doesn’t add a lot of unnecessary fluff but gives you all the vital info you need to start playing well. Highly recommend if you are w beginner.

I bought our grandson a guitar and he’s never used an acoustical guitar so I decided I should get him some type of a book to go with it so I got him this one and a Christmas one so I don’t know how they’re gonna work out but he was very impressed with it

Sprial bound would help but book was helpful.
