This is the answer. Ive tried the other methods.
I don't write many reviews and every other review I've done is when I got ripped off by a product that didn't work. I do almost all shopping on Amazon. This is my first positive review because this product exceeded my expectations on a topic that has really frustrated me.I bought this boat in 2003 already oxidized. Shortly after I purchased a brand name gel coat restoration kit. 3 steps. Remove oxidation, wax, Polish. I spent probably 30 hours doing it (24 ft deck boat). On a scale of 1-10 it was maybe a 4-5.Two years ago I researched the heck out of ways to restore gel coat. I wet sanded it twice with rougher then finer sandpaper. Then I waxed it FOUR FRIGGEN times with two types of wax and polish. Again 30 hours and a shine of 4-5 out of 10. That may be generous rating.I resigned myself to the fact that I would have to spend $3,000 to wrap and or have it professionally restored. Professional restoration is $100 a ft plus more if inside hull is large.I was buying some new accessories for my boat and looked at gel coat kits and saw this. It was different way to skin this cat than I had seen before. For $60 I gave it a try.I used the cleaner they sent and gave it a quick bath. Decent cleaner and not a waste of money. Then I applied the glass coating. Followed instructions and gave 5 coats. It was sunny and 80 degrees out.UN-FRIGGEN-REAL! It is a gloss of 10 out of 10. It said to wait a min to let it dry before applying next coat. I had to rub it to tell because it looks wet after 3 coats. It took no time at all. I'd estimate 10 min per two ft section. I had 62ft long x 4ft tall of hull to do so maybe 5 hours or work. Still have to do the inside but maybe another 3 hours. So in approx 8 hours I'll have done what took me 30+ to do w the other methods. Plus a shine of 10 compared to a 4-5.Here's some lessons I learned along the way. Do sections where you stand in one place. I ended up doing approx 2 ft at a time. Keep good way to count applications. I'm sure there are spots early on where I did more layers than necessary which only wasted time. Apply horizontally like you're painting with paint. Early on I wasted strokes like I was waxing. Make sure to clean the boat well because smudge will still be there but shinier.I'm thinking about moving to the Keys (my dream) and starting a gel coat restoration business that charges half price ($50 p ft) and use this stuff. Based off the quote I got for my boat and the time it took me I figure if make about $150 p hr.The before and after pics don't do it justice. 10 out of 10.

Not so good
It looked ok for 2 months now terrible. Trying to remove it is worse than the time to prep and apply. One other review on here hit it exactly- just invest in compound and polish to rejuvenate. I spent two days cleaning and then applying new glass 2 and it looked ok at first. Then started looking streaky and faded. Reapplication did nothing. Trying cutting compound and polish is bringing the original color and shine and smoothness to the Fiberglass on the rv

Amazing product
Product is awesome. I have a 2017 35’ travel trailer and have one side here in sw Florida that is always in the sun. I have waxed, detailed and done many things to try to maintain the factory shine. The other sides have the factory shine but this side is always a headache. Today after prepping and applying the product I am amazed. My wife and I had the process done in less than 4 hours total. That is washing, all prep and 5 Coates. Amazing. Now to see how long it lasts. I am hoping 7-8 months and I will be a happy camper.I recommend this product to anyone.

Withstands constant sunshine
Follow the directions and this product will give a shiny new looking surface. I did go the extra mile and prepared my surface with 600 grit black sandpaper, by sanding with a constant flow of water. This make the fiberglass extra smooth and the shine a bit better. I am on third year from the first application and it does wear out in the sun. It took 6 quick coats the first time, and I would suggest that you expect to apply two thin coats each year as maintenance to keep it looking new. I put the coating in a zip lock bag to control how much the applicator soaked up. I was on a ladder on the side of an RV. The 6 coats goes on pretty fast as it dries quickly.

Completely restored old water slide
I could not find a new water slide that would fit the same footprint of our 30+ year old one, so I decided to try to refurbish our old one. It was moldy, faded, and looked terrible. These products are miraculous: the cleaner completely removed all the old mold and accumulated grime, and the restorer has brightened the fiberglass to look new!

It works as advertised
It works. I have a few boats that sat out for over a year uncovered. The gelcoat was chalky and faded. Decided to give this product a try. The cleaner worked well (I diluted it 50/50 with water). The refinisher worked well and brought back the shine. **You will need to apply several coats to see desired results (6 in my case). A few helpful hints, use gloves, be patient and don't over apply, wet the applicator with water b4 and while using.Honestly there is no substitute for wet sanding then buffing then waxing ,,but it takes so much more time. This product does a good job with much less effort..(see b4 and after pictures)

Works great little pricey
Works great I just wish it lasted longer for what it cost. It's still cheaper than a professional buff job but a little pricey I think. But my boat does stay outside. Made it look great. A little more time consuming than let on but not physically demanding it takes a lot of coats depending on your boat but the more you put the more it shines. My vintage MasterCraft looked like a chalkboard and when finished it looked wet. This summer it's ready for a redo.
