Love this! I take this with me camping as I have an inverter and the low power it uses means the solar panel can run it continuously. Ice ‘bullets’ start smaller but are decent sized after the 3rd round. Nifty little product and for those who have friends around or want to make frozen daiquiris in a field while camping, a treasure to have!It’s worth noting that this particular ice maker had a lot of thoughtful design elements, such as the easy water drain and the water reservoir being under where the ice is made, so if ice melts it refills that reservoir. The sensors for adding water or being full are a nice touch too, you can just forget about it and it will look after itself

Love this ice maker.Have it on about 8 hours a day, maybe 12 hours at weekend.. First month cost £1.20ish in electricity (It's connected to a smart socket, unfortunately I can't turn it on remotely because you need to press the "on" button on the machine to start it.) I've probably saved that much now our son doesn't constantly open and close the freezer to get ice, (and I won't need to defrost it as often). And I've probably saved the same again from not boiling the kettle for a cuppa..We enjoy a lot more cold drinks now without the faff of ice cube trays.Negatives: Drain plug is awkward to unplug without splashing a little water around, (I'm talking a few drops, even when I'm being clumsy, so nothing major, and I've usually got some kitchen roll in hand to dry the machine anyway) It would just be easier if the drain plug was accessed from above. The fan is quite large and loud. Fine if you can stick it out in a utility room, but we have to turn it off in our kitchen diner when we sit down to eat for some peace.

Easy to use - makes ice quickly and quietly - very highly recommended.

I have just set this up and it seems to work very well. The ice cubes form quickly and two sixes are possible as shown in the photos. The ice cubes have a very mild ‘plastic’ taste to it, but this is the first set of ice cubes I have made. I’ll report again if the taste does not disappear with use.

Fit for purpose, knocks out ice quickly. Mainly bought for use when caravanning as this summer the caravan fridge took all day to make a bag of ice.
