Miron Violet Glass 1-Litre Bottle

I love this UV glass so much. I have dozens of bottles in a variety of sizes now, but this was my very first purchase. After I bought this, I found out that the biggest distributer of Miron had a storefront about 5 miles from my house. I stopped in there to talk to them and learned all about the scientific benefits of UV glass. Apparently they found this type of glass in the pyramids with preserved product still in the containers. I even saw for myself a sample of ground coffee beans in a regular glass jar and one sample in a Miron jar. There was a sticker on both jars saying they were from several years ago. The beans in the regular jar smelled stale and gross-no way I would ever make coffee from those grounds. The grounds in the Miron jar smelled delicious!!This glass blocks light from allowing bacteria to grow. Water bottles can get nasty so I was intrigued about this bottle because of that. I might be crazy but it felt like the water in this bottle tasted smoother in some way. It's elegant and will make you feel like you are treating yourself good. I ended up buying 3 more of these bottles to give to my mom, dad and sister! You will love it.

I bought my first liter bottle back around 2008 and still use it today. I needed a couple more so I bought these. They're on the heavy side, of course, but so much nicer than drinking out of plastic. I don't have any way of knowing if this glass does what it claims to but my water always tastes very fresh. I also appreciate the fact that they come with two caps because the one on my old bottle had cracked. Now I'm set!

Interesting how our city water and the filtered city water both tasted "sweeter" after sitting in the sun for 6 hours. Even the heavily chlorinated city water was more palatable.

The bottle looks black but is violet to the light as stated. Bottle gets a bit heavy when water is added into it.I find the plastic bottle caps to be a bit soft but it fit well with no water dripping out. I turned the bottle upside down to see if water would drip.I love the bottle . This is what i am using from now on to carry my spring or filtered water.

The vibrant purple color in the photo is completely misleading. You can BARELY see the color if you set it in a window, but other than that, it just looks like a black bottle. The caps that it comes with don't stay on very well, and the flow regulator that is in the cap just comes right out after taking the cap back off of the bottle, and it is very hard to put back in. All in all, waste of money.

This is exactly like the Infinity bottle, it is not purple like the picture. What makes this better than the Infinity bottle is it is cheaper ($10 cheaper when I purchased it) and it came with 2 bottle caps and the Infinity bottle came with one. That being said the cap doesn't feel cheap so I don't see it stripping out any time soon but it's nice to have 2 of them.
