When it comes to repetitive operations, a custom tool can make a big difference. You can get by tightening PLM T-Lock wedges with a pair of channel-lock pliers, but this tool will do a better, more consistent job with less effort and wear and tear on your wrist and elbow. No worries about fumbling/dropping channel-locks and chipping/cracking a tile -- these pliers are made of light-weight polyamide. The adjustable nose lets you dial-in exactly the right tension to apply to each wedge. It's fast and easy getting the tool to straddle and engage the wedge, and the tool handle is easy to grip/tighten in either forward or backward orientation. After 500+ T-Lock wedges, my wrist/hands felt fine, there was no fussing with the tool when tightening wedges, and I got consistently plane tile corners. Worth every penny to me.

Came out of the box ready to use on my FIRST tile job, and along with the 1/8 inch T-Lock spacers, helped me do a professional looking job on my new tile bathroom floor. I will be using this system throughout other tile projects on floors and walls in the coming months. LOVE IT because it ensured I had minimal lippage AND reduced the number of times BIGLY I had to lift up tiles to adjust thinset underneath. It also gets kudos for raising my confidence in getting tough jobs like this done, because this job, being my first, I was miserable as I didn't feel I had the knowledge to get a professional job done, but using tools like this and the T-Lock system helped me in this way and I am grateful. Some of the best money I've spent and worth every penny. Word of advice -- Have plenty of spacers and wedges on hand, as you run out faster than you think. I bought the kit which included both, but with only 100 wedges, you run out fast. Buy the extra bags for anything more than a really small job or you'll run out.

Perfect caliper for the T-Lock tile leveling system. I bought this to replace my old one that just started getting a little dirty with built-up thinset. 4 stars only because of the cost -- seems kinda high to me, but product works as intended, and necessary when setting the wedges in the T-Lock system.

This tool enables the proper compression of the two tiles to achieve a level surface.

I started off by using my hands to adjust the spacers and after a day of that I ordered this. If you are doing a small room I am sure you could do it by hand, but I am doing two rooms that are 12X20 feet and this thing was amazing! very east to adjust and saved my hands!

you do not need anything expensive to lock the wedges in. This worked absolutely fine for me because it made it quicker and I was more confident about the locking of the wedge. I was far from gentle with it but it is obviously not contractor grade.

Really good hand tool for leveling the wedges highly recommend doesn’t feel cheap like other brands a bit pricey but worth it.

Does what it says

So for those of you who are DIYer’s this product is really great for installing seamless tile floor. It is really easy to use and the results are just impressive. On so many shows like Leave it to Brian and Holmes on Holmes we saw this products being used. I like these shows because if you are not in the trades you get to see what innovations are happening in the industry. This was my first try at this product and it did not disappoint. Setting the spacers in was a breeze and then locking them into place with the Wedges was simple. The first few were a learning curve as with any product. I placed the Spacer/Wedges close to each corner section of the tile thus everything was even. It made for one issue though. There is one thing I would highly recommend to anyone using this product. That is to make sure you order more wedges prior to installation. I ordered the starter kit 300 spacers and 100 wedges in one container. I was installing approx. 90sq of tile max and within about 1/3 of the project I ran out of wedges. I actually had to stop and let everything dry so I could take the wedges out and reuse them with the last part of the project. Call it a lesson learned; you can never have too many wedges. When it came to taking spacers out it was as easy as we see on TV. Just kick the spacer’s perpendicular and voila they are gone. All in all I am very satisfied with the product and would easily recommend it to anyone that does tiling. Make your job look like a pro’s.

Works great and it's rugged enough that it won't break on you. Also it's non corrosive material and in tiling that's a plus.

Good tool, makes working with the Perfect Level system easy. I would prefer a higher-end version, it one was available, but it does the job.

I have used the Perfect Level Master system before but I didn't have this tool. I the Perfect Level Master system and would certainly recommend. I like this tool. It made getting pushing the wedges in easy and to a consistent depth.
