TruePower Replacement Spout and Vent Kit + Extra Gaskets (Green)

It was a replacement part. Was not long enough in the spout to do what was needed. So we just used the parts to make it happen.

I got this to replace the spout on my gas can. The new spout fits great and works well, however this also came with a vent kit. To install the vent kit you need to drill a hole in the gas can. It would have been nice for there to be some instructions as to what size hole was needed. However, my biggest issue is the vent is a small plastic piece that snaps closed, but is very difficult to close. I would have sent back, but I needed the spout immediately so I decided to keep it. I would not, however, recomend this.

The plastic plug cap broke off even before I got it installed. The fit is so tight that when you try to open it, it just pulls completely out of the can so basically it’s just a plug that won’t stay tight if you try to transport the can full of gasoline it will start sipping out you’ll get the smell and a leak out of the plug hole with the plug in it. I’ll try gluing it or plastic welding but not sure if the cap will come off it’s so tight

I was missing a cap on my old one and came across this product. fits perfectly for my gallon tank and drill a hole for the breather in the back. No more trying to fight safety mechanism to pour gas into my chainsaw.

I was ready to throw out the most recent gas can I purchased for filling my lawn tractor. I could take the whole spout off and pour the gas, but other than that, no matter what I did, I couldn't get gas out of the can with the original design.I didn't expect this to work, but ordered it because, for the price, it was worth a try. This spout attached easily and now I can actually use the gas can. A vent hole would still be nice but I can move this spout up and down to let air in the can.The little red cover everyone is complaining about, I can loop it on the other side of the filler hole and it doesn't get in the way.

I will buy it again
