Jixia Academy

At first, I did not like this, and I could not figure out why. Why was it so hard to figure out what to do? And why was it taking so long with only four turns? This should be a quick fast paced game right? Wrong! Just about every decision in this game is a difficult one. Every decision matters. So, while I was expecting a fun fast paced game, I ended up really liking the very deep strategy that can be had in just four turns!

Great simple game. The brother of "Hanamikoji", the cousin of "Battle Line", and dare I say distant cousin of "Lost Cities".I liked it, but I was looking for something MORE when buying this item. I was looking for a fun two player game not as heavy as 7 wonders Duel, but I wish that this game had a little bit MORE strategy, or MORE tension, or gave MORE of a feeling of accomplishment when winning.I will be giving this game to a friend obsessed with Japanese culture. I much rather be playing patchwork with my gf =).

The quality is good. It's an easy to learn strategy game and very portable. It's a two player game exclusively and those are sort of hard to come by. The cards are beautifully illustrated. There is another game ( jinxia Academy) that was made after this one and I actually bought it first because I didn't know it was a remake with different art, etc. But, I loved it so much that we bought this one too. They're entirely separate games but play exactly the same and just have different artwork. Definitely recommend.

I love this game! It packs in so much for such a small package. This is one tense game that has a lot of strategy and choices. I like the change of artwork from the Geisha theme, which is just as beautiful. This is the exact same game as Hanamikoji, so if you already have that there is no need to get this.

A very fun game that is easy to learn and easy to play. However, don't be fooled by the simplicity of the game. It can require plenty of thought to win. At it's core it is a very strategic beast. I highly recommend it. I live the neat discard mechanism. Never played anything like it.

An EASY TO LEARN, with lots of strategy, thinking game with a little luck! Nice looking cards/ drawings of the characters!

Good, but I like more the theme and art of Hanamikoji. They are exactly the same game mechanically.
