Great value! Last forever. This is possible the best straightener that I have ever purchased. It heats up very quickly which makes getting ready a breeze. I've got thick curly hair and before use to take me an hour to full straighten. With this tool it takes me half that time. Going on 2 years and works just like the first time I got it.

Best straightner ever will always be a favorite very smooth

I have a CHI that despite being 10 years old continues to work like the first day but I wanted to buy a new iron to travel. My hair is straight but fine and I always have frizz problems. This iron heats up in seconds, a single pass and it is enough to straighten, it works wonders. It has a wide temperature range and is of good quality. The only problem is that it pulls a lot of hair and after I finished it there was a lot of loose hair all over the bathroom floor, that's why my 4 stars and 5 will continue to go to my CHI iron.

I purchased this flat iron, after reading the reviews. I also purchased it until I was able to buy the more expensive brand I wanted. First, the pros are: The flat iron reaches the selected temperature quickly. The buttons are placed where you will not accidentally change temperatures or turn off the flat iron. The plates are smooth and do not snag the hair. The cons are: It may be a defect, but in my opinion, the temperatures are not accurate. In comparison, my previous flat iron, when set at 430°F., made my hair so hot that I could not touch my hair immediately after a pass, and the straightness lasted. This flat iron does not get that hot when set on 430°F, and my straightened hair does not last, even with minor humidity. Today, I finally set the temperature to 450°F (which I have never done with other flat irons), and my hair turned out smoother than before. I should not need to set it this high to achieve the lasting straightness I want. I do not recommend and would not purchase again.

This iron heats up surprisingly fast -- much faster than any other I've used before -- and the surface has a soft matte finish that's really nice to the touch. Switching between temperatures is also really fast, although it does take a while to cool down. You have to hold down the power button for a few seconds to turn it on or off, which confused me at first, but once I figured it out I realized this is a great feature since it keeps you from accidentally turning the iron off while you're using it! I do wish it had a way of closing or locking other than wrapping the cord around the base while holding it closed, but considering the low cost and high quality I don't really mind. This brand was recommended to me by my stylist, and I'm really glad I listened to her!

I like that this tool gets really hot. I don't like that there is no lock, and that it doesn't stay upright on the counter. It always falls over. Also, not as smooth as I'd like it to be. Sometimes it feels like it's ripping my hair out!
