In 1974 Hi-Tec debuted the Sierra Lite, the first lightweight hiker, to the outdoor footwear world creating a tectonic shift in how shoes are designed for the outdoors today. Celebrating 40 years of footwear innovation, the Hi-Tec Sierra Lite Original Jr makes a return appearance in this kid friendly version. This lightweight kids’ hiking boot showcases a suede and high-performance fabric upper equipped with an elastic and hook and loop entry for a secure, ‘do-it-myself’ entry. The unique Big-Fit insole system consists of two insoles; remove the lower (black) insole to create a half size larger which adds room for growing feet while at the same time giving your pocket book a break for a few more months. The Multi-Directional Traction (MDT) carbon rubber outsole provides confidence building traction to the Hi-Tec Sierra Lite Original Jr play shoe. adorable hiking boots run large
I ordered a whole size larger for my son to account for thick socks, but the original pair were WAY bigger than expected. I returned then ordered them a half size larger and they're good to go with room to grow.

Our family started hiking this Spring and we purchased a pair of hiking shoes for us. It is comforting to watch my son with these on knowing that his feet are protected and secured during hikes.

These fit great on my son
These fit great on my son! They are true to size and he loves them! I need to mention he is generally picky, he hates if his socks don't feel right kind of kid. I was worried since they don't tie so it would be hard to adjust. They have become his go to shoe!

Daughter loves, but hard to get on
Nice sturdy shoe and good bottoms, exactly what i was looking for except they do not tie. They are an elastic band where you would think they would tie so you could open wider to get foot in and difficult to put on.

Great, durable, fun shoe for kids
Great shoes. My son loves them. It's hard to find a unique style of shoe for boys. Even harder in the hiking boot market. These are fantastic.

Good fit and easy on and off. No laces to tie, ankle strap works great and nice support for hiking.
