My wife swears by Arnica gel and I got this to replace what I used after oral surgery.
My wife has been a big fan of Arnica gel for decades. When I've had bruises, she's convinced me to use it and, over time, I've become a big user too.I recently had oral surgery and used A LOT of her arnica gel to keep the bruising to a minimum. I realized on the second day I was going to run out of gel and got this to replace the traditional homeopathic brand that we've had in the medicine cabinet since we've had a medicine cabinet. In my experience, this works as well as what is the standard arnica gel for us, but the lavender and peppermint, especially when used on the face, make this our preferred choice. The scent is wonderful and the gel goes on smoothly. Unlike others I have used, it is not sticky and I don't feel like I need to wash it off my hands after I've used it.While it is more expensive than what we had been using, we find the premium price to be worth it for a premium product.

Not very effective for me
I ordered this product because I knew I'd be wrapping up a 3 day backpacking trip through the Smokey Mountains and would most likely come home sore and a little bruised. I thought this might help ease my pains and speed up my recovery.Unfortunately I didn't feel like this cream was very effective for me. There is a tincture of arnica in it, and I've had a good experience with arnica oil in the past. However, it might not be a very strong tincture — there's no way to know from the packaging. Other than the arnica, the cream is mostly moisturizers and other aromatic oils. There might be some therapeutic value to the aroma, but again, it wasn't very meaningful for me.I may try this again if I have other soreness or bruising, but I'm honestly not expecting too much.

Actually works!
I saw this and bought it for my wife who has a painful knee while awaiting a knee replacement. We've tried multiple pain relievers, without much success, and I wasn't expecting much from this either, to be honest. She tried it and said it actually works pretty well. She uses it at night when her knee makes sleeping troublesome. When my arthritic foot was painful after working outside, I applied some to top of my foot that hurt and while the joint pain was still there, the aching and stinging that I was feeling in that area reduced noticeably. Enough to say that it really helped. The odor is similar to the peppermint and eucalyptus ingredients and you can certainly tell when someone has used it in the bathroom, from the lingering smell. It is a white cream, which is thin, but not runny and it absorbs easily with a little rubbing and disappears with no oily residue. The odor reduces quickly too.It is priced competitively and has some benefit. Though your mileage may vary, we are very happy to use this and would recommend it.Thanks for taking the time to read this review and I hope it helps you with your purchase decision.FYI: As an Amazon Vine reviewer, I am offered new-to-market products, if I want them, at no cost to me, in exchange for an honest, objective, and comprehensive review.

helpful
I think everyone should have some thing like this in their first aid kit. My husband just threw his back out pretty badly. We’ve been doing massage and bracing and stretching. We put some of this on his lower back and it seem to take the edge off the pain for a short while. It’s definitely helps to reduce inflammation when used regularly. Good stuff.

Instant But Not Long-Lasting Relief (3+ Stars)
As an active and aging woman, my joints and muscles can feel sore at times. I'd rather use something topical like this arnica cream than take ibuprofen or the like. This cream provides instant relief, but it doesn't last more than a couple of hours at best. Even worse, it smells like eucalyptus and peppermint, no better than the over-the-counter Icy Hot or Biofreeze creams. I also have to question whether the arnica is the ingredient that deadens the pain or if it's the more common eucalyptus.-- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

Arnica cream
I love arnica cream and I apply it any time I have bruised skin. I have very sensitive skin and I bruise easily. This is a large package and can last for a long time. The nice thing about the cream is that is also has a lovely scent in addition to healing properties. It is also helping with keeping skin moisturized without leaving the skin greasy.
