SalterBrecknell SA3N271 ElectroSamson Digital Hand Held Scale with LCD Display, 55lbs Capacity

I purchased this model because of the range (very small quantities to whole bales of hay). I've only used this in-hand a couple of times but it appears to function beautifully. Will be hanging it in our feed room before the horses go on their spring diets!

I received my scale with a broken battery door. Emailed the company and their reply was we don't have spare parts the unit is made overseas. I emailed them back and asked it it's covered under warranty. This time the reply was loosing a battery door is not covered. Again I emailed them told them I am returning it and buying a Rapala scale! This scale is not made well very cheap for the price you pay.

I love this scale. I just wish it came with a better bar. The plastic bar connection is poor at best, and is sitting in the closet because it's useless.Buy the 90lbs one that comes with the metal handle bar.

Works great. I added a carabiner to it to help hold it rather than using a handle. Only problem is it doesn't really fit back in the case/cover properly but it works very well so no big deal.

I know this scale is used by MLF but it is not resistant to moisture or even condensation. I've had one in my boat for a while and it hasn't worked since I got caught in the rain. Brecknell does not offer service or replacement parts. They consider it disposal and recommended that I buy a new one.

great scale when it worked, fish was jumping around while measuring and scale display only showed the bottom half of the numbers. I was told it was not their problem, it was damaged. By a fish? Do not buy it you are going to use it.
