DIY Chicken Keeping from Fresh Eggs Daily: 40+ Projects for the Coop, Run, Brooder, and More!

This is a well-written book, with very clear pictures and directions for making over 40 projects to use with your chickens. I enjoy all of the books written by Lisa Steele, and I was hoping to like this book more than I do. The projects are simple to make, but I found only 3 projects that I found helpful and would like to create (A-frame chick tractor, chick roosting bar, and roosting ladder). This book would be ideal for a new chicken owner, but might not be as useful for someone who has had chickens for a while. Please mark if you find my review helpful. Thank you so much!

We found some information that we didn’t have before starting to build our chicken coop - which probably will save us money and the lives of chickens! Lots of good information and ideas on how to build thingswe thought we would have to buy. Good book for the novice chicken raiser.

Not just for chickens, but for the chicken keeper! From home decor to a complete chicken tractor, Lisa takes you through the whole process of sourcing your lumber and supplies through finishing your project up. I really like the breakdown in respect to my available time as well as difficulty level! I'm going to get some wood this week and get going on a new brooder box (page 122). Next is the nest box stack!Thank you for this book, Lisa! I love your straight-forward approach to chicken keeping and projects. It's so refreshing! Wonderful work, can't wait for your next book!

There are quite a few easy projects in here that I absolutely loved! Many were quite simple to complete either by myself or with my daughter. There were several projects that I would not use at all, so about a third of this book is not going to be used, but the many ideas the book had throughout, more than makes up for that. Great ideas that can easily be converted to suit your personal needs better.

I ordered this book in hopes that it would help learn how to properly care for my chickens and give me ideas on how to improve their living space. This book didn't have much information on the actual care of chickens, but it had lots of great ideas for improving and building projects chicken related.

This is a pretty good book with some cute ideas. It would make a good gift for any “chicken mom.”

I've been reading my new book "DIY Chicken Keeping from Fresh Eggs Daily" and by golly, I think I can do almost all of these projects! I'm sure going to give them a try!
