There is No quality control before shipping these tools to customers
While testing this saw out, getting ready to use it on my first cut, I started the motor and noticed that the saw blade was wobbling. I removed the blade and laid it on my table saw table and confirmed that the blade was good. The armature was bent. I tried with no luck to speak to technical support at Triton. They only want to email back and forth with their customers. Ouch!!! A service center emailed me and said that since the tool was newer than 30 days to return it. I did and ordered a replacement. I tried it out and the blade wobbled again, I did not remove the saw blade this time. I packed all of the components up and shipped them back. I will Not purchase another Triton tool again. I will pay the higher price to own Quality tools.

Great saw for the money
I would really like to be able to give 4.5 stars. I purchased the saw because it is a great price point between the jump from $249 to $600 that I was able to find. I have made several cuts and the results have been smooth and accurate. The saw is fairly quiet and offers decent dust collection using the including connectors. The saw rides smoothly on the track and needed no adjustment to eliminate play. Included bladed appears to be of high quality. Track is slightly longer than 4 feet and can be joined with a second to exceed 8. Stays put reasonably well but it's probably worth picking up the available clamps.

Works great!
I bought this after watching some videos and sending back the evolution brand one. This one seems to work pretty well, even with the stock blade. It cut through the black walnut fine. Only issue I had was with cutting epoxy, the shavings clog it up. So you have to clean it out every once in while, while you're cutting.

Underpowered
I bought this saw and the track kit. I’ve never had a track saw before so I’m not sure I can speak to how it should perform, but I was not impressed. The saw seems under-powered. Granted, the project that I bought this foe involved 2 inch solid walnut slabs, but I always made the cuts in 1/4 inch passes. Even then, the saw would get bogged down and stop more often than I think it should have. The saw also doesn’t slide on the track very smoothly at all, and since I was making multiple passes for each cut, this was a giant pain. After each pass, I would have to take the saw off of the track to bring it back to the start because it would not slide backwards. If I was cutting something that could be done in one pass, that wouldn’t have been an issue, but in my situation it was very frustrating. The plunge depth adjustment seems very accurate and easy to use. And the knobs for all of the adjustments are big and easy to get a hold of.

Slow start up
After a lot of research, I decided to go with the Triton TTS1400 track saw. I spent a long time looking for a track saw and weighed my options for a battery vs corded saw and for a budget saw vs a professional saw. In the end, I was swayed by one of the many YouTube content creators who ranked this as a very good saw. Here's what I've learned about this saw:Pros:* It is a budget friendly saw* The track for it was also very budget friendly* Overall the saw does cut accurately (or as accurately as you set your track)* It fits the track well without too much adjusting* Finally, yes I have not had any issues cutting sheets of plywood.Cons:* One thing that none of the online tool reviewers mentioned was the slow start up of the blade - like really slow, like get the hamster wheel going - but once started, it seemed to have enough power* Setting cutting depth is kinda wonky, it has a cheap feeling thumb screw that is not the most accurate at setting depths* It is corded so you have limitations around managing the cord* Dust collection is ok but not greatAm I happy I purchased this tool.Well it was several hundred dollars cheaper than the RIDGID and even a greater savings than the Milwaukee or Festool. But you are getting what you paid for with this saw. I am a DIY woodworker and not a professional and I will probably only use this saw once a month if that often. So, YES, I am happy with the saw.
