I had it in my head that the only knee braces that would help my destroyed (my opinion and constant pain, not a medical diagnosis) were the kind that you had to slip over your foot to get on because they worked on compression - if i could reach my foot to do that, i wouldn't need the brace!I will admit i was frustrated at first because it had six straps and so looked like id need 4 hands to wrangle this thing on. *I was wrong!* The top and bottom straps are really to just get a starting grip to hold it *roughly* in place, and so do not fret if its not ideal. there are then FOUR more straps, two above, two below, that go thru D rings and WOW, these four (top front, top rear, bottom front, bottom rear) take over and give you very fine control to tighten it to be a perfect fit both confortable and no slipping - i am a violent sleeper (part of how i hurt my knee) and ive worn it for 2 days and 2 nights now and it hasnt moved at all!note i am not a doctor, so this next part is opinion, based on constant 24/7 pain for over 5 years now.I got this brace because my knee seemed to be getting damaged during the night, and that pain stayed with me all day.what I now feel is that there may be some damage in my knee that lets it drift left and right when it shouldnt. Before, even when i tried small bending of the knee, and was careful to try and keep it straight with no side to side moves, it was agony to reach the bottom shelf of the fridge and to be honest some days I just couldn't.With this brace, i can bend my knee with no pain* and reach the bottom shelf! the aluminum side pieces prevent my knee from drifting "off course" and force it to stay straight. I used an asterisk, because it has only been two days and i have some bad habits that pop up after years of only bending down by locking my left leg rigid.A+ product. Also, I am 6 foot 300 pounds and the XL fits perfectly.

Like most people who require stability around a knee, I've tried several braces to achieve a secure and comfortable fit. I've tried a slip-on sleeve as well as another with two Velcro closures. Neither achieved the results I wanted. This brace does have several pluses in providing stability and support. On each side of the brace is a removeable aluminum hinge that keeps the knee aligned and limits twisting movement. The open front and back around the knee provide a cushion for a comfort fit. And the multiple Velcro straps allow tightening in areas where it's needed. But what keeps the brace from a five star review are those Velcro straps. There are six of them and believe me, you will need the instruction card that comes with the brace in order to learn how to affix each one properly into place. I continued to need the instruction card for several occasions when I wanted to wear the brace. And there is a bit of frustration that after you've secured all the straps you may find one or more is too tight or too loose. And then you have to basically undo all of them and start over. I do exercise using the brace and find it does a good job keeping the knee aligned. But it is a learning process. Four stars from me.

This is a great knee brace. The reason I gave it only 3 stars is that you have to close it behind your leg and when you have a bad knee this is extremely difficult and painful. It does a great job but putting it on and taking it off is so much work that I just am exhausted when I accomplish it. I wish it had the flaps that closed in the front of my leg so I can reach it without hurting myself or panting like long distance runner. If you made it with a front flap closure I would buy it immediately.

Best knee wrap! I went on a church trip to 2 different museums with tons of walking and my torn meniscus didn’t act up one time. Sizing information is correct and was very easy to put on with help! Super comfortable and never had any pain after wearing it.

It's complicated to put on and doesn't stay in place. A big waste of money! Very disappointed.

Sin.Ce. I just had knee surgery. 4 weeks ago I was wearing these braces. Which I have four of for the last six months until It get bad enough to have the surgery. They are Affordable?Comfortable and?. Give great support and now I Don't use the them much less except when I play golf to make sure the knee is healed properly. And that'll soon go away. Highly recommended fitwell and are comfortable and do a great job on stability for your knee

I purchased another that was inadequate and returned it. This one is heavy duty and gives me the support that I need. The straps are very well designed and made.
