Wow...didn't expect these results!
Needed to remove "HEAVY" bluing from the bad bluing job someone did on an old Colt revolver. Didn't have much of an expectation that ANY product could dissolve this excessive coating.I followed the directions and watched the bluing disappear before my eyes. Didn't even take the potential 4-5 minutes that the instructions stated. Took finish right to bare metal! Cleaned and neutralized the firearm. Now it's ready for anything I choose for a new finish.Great product!

Works well enough, smells interesting.
It is, in fact, blue remover. Worked good for what I needed it for. On the thicker end, think almost smoothie consistency, not a paste but not a liquid. Takes a bit of time to work.

Removal cleaner and bluing are waste of time and money.

Removes bluing but will take some 0000 steel wool or slightly higher sand paper to make it go quicker.

Oh boy!
I've always used cleaning vinegar and elbow grease to remove old bluing.Not any more, this stuff works fast and requires very little effort.Has a bit of a nasty smell so use in a well ventilated area.This will be my go to from now on.
